Divorce you and marry him novel Chapter 13

Chapter 13

“Be with you?” Nicholas reacted as if he had just heard the biggest joke in the world. He abruptly let go, flinging her to the ground, and looked down at her from above, his gaze icy and cutting. “Samantha, you’ve been playing me for a fool for so many years-haven’t you had enough?”

Samantha’s face turned deathly pale. “Nick, what are you talking about? I don’t understand…”

“You don’t understand?” Nicholas sneered, pulling a stack of documents from his jacket and viciously slamming them into her face. “Then tell me-was it really an accident that you broke my grandfather’s medal at the banquet? I checked! You deliberately took it from the very top of the cabinet! You egged me on to make Katherine take the blame for you!”

Sheets of paper scattered across the floor.

Samantha collapsed onto the ground, her whole body trembling, still trying to argue. “I didn’t… you misunderstood me. How could I ever hurt Katie? I…”

“And that day too!” Nicholas cut her off, his voice trembling with extreme rage. “You said you’re afraid of blood? Ha, Samantha. When you were ten, you got into a fight, your head was split open, your face covered in blood, and you laughed while saying it didn’t hurt at all. And you tell me you faint at the sight of blood? You just couldn’t stand seeing me show her even the slightest bit of kindness. You couldn’t stand seeing me take off my coat for her! You deliberately pretended to faint at the sight of blood, forcing me to drive her away in the pouring rain!”

With every sentence he spoke, he stepped closer. Terrified by the savage fury in his eyes, Samantha retreated again and again until her back hit the cold wall, leaving her with nowhere left to go.

“All these years, I indulged you, protected you, thought you were pitiful and all alone.” Nicholas stared at her, every word like a blade, slicing open the bloody truth. “But only now do I finally understand-who is truly pitiful? It’s Katherine!”

“She was carrying my child, and with nothing but a single tear from you, she was forced to abort it! She fell off a cliff and nearly died, and when the kidnappers made me choose, it was you I chose with my own hands! Her body was weak, yet for your sake, I made her walk home in the freezing rain! Her entire body was covered in scalding blisters, and for your sake, I didn’t even spare her a second glance before carrying the food container away! She was thrown into prison, tortured relentlessly, humiliated at will-and it was me! It was me who personally identified her! It was me who said it was her!!”

By the time Nicholas finished shouting, his voice was already hoarse and shattered. He pointed at himself, his eyes bloodshot, tears streaming down his face. “Samantha, look carefully! Look at this madman standing in front of you right now! This bastard who personally pushed the woman he loved most into hell-this is what you created, what I created, little by little!!”

He suddenly took several sharp breaths, as if all his strength had been drained. When he spoke again, his voice was cold, as though it came straight from hell:

“Don’t you like seducing men? Don’t you enjoy using such filthy tricks? Fine. I’ll grant your wish.”

He turned around and spoke to Darian, who had rushed over after hearing the commotion, enunciating every word with crushing force:

“Throw Samantha into the Midnight Club. From now on, she will be a stripper there.”

Samantha’s face instantly drained of all color as she screamed hysterically. “No! Nicholas, you can’t do this to me! You–

“Gag her.” Nicholas’s expression was utterly blank. “From today onward, the Padilla family has nothing whatsoever to do with Samantha. If she dares take even half a step closer to this place again.”

He paused, then added, “Break her legs and throw her out.”

Darian acknowledged the order. Ignoring Samantha’s struggling and sobbing, he dragged her

away.

Nicholas remained standing where he was, staring at the empty room, at the documents scattered across the floor that exposed the ugly truth. Suddenly, he bent over and began to retch violently.

All that came up was sour liquid and endless regret.

He knew that some mistakes, once made, could never be undone.
