Divorced CEO's Forgotten Wife Strikes Back (Riley and Bryce) novel Chapter 120

**TITLE: Dreams Refuse Gravity by Leo Arden Knox**
**Chapter 120: Tell Me**

**Lucky Draw**

“Drink!” Riley commanded, her tone direct as she lifted the bowl, presenting it to Sebastian with an air of expectation.

Without a moment’s hesitation, he accepted the bowl, bowing his head slightly to take a sip of the steaming soup.

His striking features remained perfectly composed, devoid of any visible reaction as he consumed the concoction in a measured manner.

Riley observed him intently, a sense of approval swelling within her. This particular soup was a cherished recipe from her mother’s kitchen, enhanced with an extra kick of spices to amplify its effects. Every teammate who had dared to taste it had grimaced, their faces contorting in discomfort with each spoonful.

Yet here was Sebastian, the first to drink it without so much as flinching.

“Is it any good?” she inquired, her curiosity getting the better of her.

“No, it’s terrible,” he replied bluntly, his voice devoid of any embellishment.

“Then why didn’t you say anything?” Riley shot back, her brow furrowing in confusion.

“You asked me to drink it,” he stated matter-of-factly, as if that explained everything.

Riley found herself momentarily taken aback. Was he really the type to drink whatever she suggested?

Would he even swallow poison if she offered it to him? The thought flitted through her mind, but she chose to keep it to herself, not wanting to delve too deeply into the implications.

Once Sebastian finished the soup, she instinctively reached out, placing her palm against his forehead.

The moment her hand made contact with his warm skin, she felt his body tense up, as if her touch had sent a jolt through him.

“Good, no fever,” she declared, withdrawing her hand with a sense of relief.

But Sebastian felt an unexpected pang of loss at her departure. A longing stirred within him, one that he hadn’t anticipated. He wished her hand could linger just a little longer, the warmth of her touch igniting something deep inside him.

Over the next two days, Sebastian remained within the confines of the villa, and Riley chose to stay by his side, offering companionship in the quiet moments. But then, an unexpected visitor arrived at the villa, shattering their peaceful bubble.

“Wren!” Riley exclaimed, her surprise evident as she turned to face the newcomer. “What are you doing here?”

“I’m staying here for the time being,” Wren replied nonchalantly, her eyes scanning the space as if assessing the situation.
