**TITLE: Dreams Refuse Gravity by Leo Arden Knox**
**Chapter 125: Stay With Me One More Night?**
After the harrowing experience of rescuing Sebastian from that forbidden room, Riley found herself unable to leave his side. Each night, she made the choice to stay in his bedroom, a decision that initially stemmed from a deep-rooted fear that he might succumb to his demons once more.
That first night was a restless one. She kept a vigilant watch beside his bed, her heart pounding at the slightest shift in his breathing, anxiously scanning his face for any signs of distress. The shadows in the room felt heavier, and she could hardly shake off the feeling that the remnants of his trauma lingered in the air, waiting to engulf him again.
The following evening, as they gathered around the dinner table, the atmosphere was unexpectedly charged. Sebastian, as if compelled by an unseen force, suddenly blurted out, “Can you stay with me one more night?” His voice, usually so composed, now trembled slightly, revealing the vulnerability he often concealed.
Felix, his ever-dutiful secretary, was seated nearby and looked utterly flabbergasted. His eyes darted between his boss and Riley, as if he had just witnessed a bolt of lightning strike the ground before him. The air was thick with tension, and Riley could feel the weight of Felix’s surprise pressing down on her.
Riley rubbed her temples, a gesture of frustration and confusion. “You’re okay now. You don’t need me to stay in your room all night, right?” she replied, trying to instill some rationality into the situation.
“But I feel safe when you’re around. You’re my bodyguard, aren’t you? You’re supposed to protect me,” he insisted, his earnestness striking a chord deep within her.
For a moment, she was left speechless, the words caught in her throat. How could she argue against such a heartfelt plea?
As the evening wore on, Riley felt a sense of resignation wash over her. She had no choice but to gather her bedding and pillow once more, making her way to the sofa in Sebastian’s room. The act felt strangely comforting, yet it also stirred a whirlwind of emotions within her.
Then, as if sensing the weight of the moment, Felix quietly pulled her aside, his voice a low whisper. “Ms. Anderson, you know, when a man and a woman are alone in a room, sometimes things can get out of control. If you really can’t resist Mr. Torres… well, you should take some precautions.”
“Precautions?” Riley echoed, her brows knitting together in confusion.
With a mischievous glint in his eye, Felix shoved a small box into her hand. “Mr. Torres probably won’t say no to you. In fact, he might even be looking forward to it!” His tone suggested he believed he was playing the role of an astute advisor, going above and beyond the call of duty as a secretary.
Just then, Sebastian’s voice sliced through the air, emanating from behind them. “What are you two chatting about?” he queried, his tone laced with curiosity.
Felix, caught off guard, quickly retorted, “Nothing. I’m heading back now!” With that, he scampered off, leaving Riley standing there, her heart racing.
In the sudden silence, Sebastian’s gaze fell upon the box in Riley’s hand. “What have you got there?” he asked, his interest piqued.
“It’s from Felix…” she started, but her words faltered as she finally took a good look at the box. The realization hit her like a tidal wave—inside was a box of condoms!
A rush of heat flooded her cheeks, and she fought the urge to swear. What in the world was Felix thinking?!
Sebastian, however, regarded the box with an unsettling calmness. In a tone as casual as discussing the weather, he asked, “Wanna use them?”
