Chapter 219 Muscular Foreign Men
If they had to work, they’d do it side by side in the study- where they’d added a second desk and chair, just for that
purpose.
She had to admit that living with Sebastian was surprisingly comfortable.
“So tell me,” Lara said, leaning in with a mischievous look. “Have you and Sebastian, you know… done it?”
Riley rolled her eyes. “No. Can you keep your mind out of the gutter for once?”
“I just feel like you’re missing out,” Lara teased. “You’ve got a gorgeous guy right there, and you’re not even making a move?”
“Seriously? You call that missing out?”
“Well, since you’re so into looking but not touching, how about we take you out tonight–give you a little taste of international flavor?” Lara winked and clapped her on the shoulder.
That evening, Riley accompanied Lara to a theater in
Washington, where a group of muscular foreign men were
dancing onstage.

a frown. “This is what you meant by ‘broadening my horizons‘?”
“Exactly!” Lara nodded enthusiastically. “This is a
world–famous male revue. Their choreography is amazing, and the stage design is on another level. See that water curtain? It’s like dancing in the rain–so artistic, so hot!”
And it didn’t hurt that it was a feast for the eyes. It was something to distract her and maybe help her forget about Shawn.
Riley watched the shirtless dancers moving across the stage, their toned bodies highlighted by tight black leather pants. The rhythm of their performance was infectious, and it was easy to get swept up in the energy of the crowd.
Water sprayed down from above like rain, catching in their hair, sliding down their faces and torsos, before splashing at their feet and scattering into shimmering droplets. It was impossible not to be drawn in.
The audience was loving it.
Lara was screaming and cheering like a fangirl, completely unashamed of her enthusiasm.

In comparison, Riley remained composed. She appreciated the 276 visual, but nothing about it made her heart race.
Only one person could do that now.
As if summoned by the thought, Sebastian’s face flashed through her mind.
Right then, her phone started buzzing. It was him.
She picked up and held the phone to her ear. “Hey, Sebastian. What’s up?”
“What’s going on over there? It’s so loud,” he asked.
Before Riley could respond, Lara leaned in and shouted near her ear, “Riley! Look at that guy–those muscles! I heard they’re picking a lucky audience member to go up on stage. later. Can you imagine being that close to them?”
Riley quickly gestured for her to quiet down, while Sebastian asked again, “Where are you?”
“I’m at a show with Lara. It’s not over yet–probably will end around ten. I’ll come home after that,” she replied.
“I’ll come pick you up then,” Sebastian said.
“But-”
He had already hung up.

“Yeah.” Riley nodded. “He’s coming to get me after the show.”
“How sweet!” Lara teased with a wink, but her attention quickly drifted back to the stage as the performance continued.
The energy in the room kept building, peaking in cheers and screams–until suddenly, the lights went out.
Someone shouted, “What the heck? Power outage?”
The theater was plunged into darkness. Onstage, the dancers froze mid–movement, and confused murmurs spread through
the crowd.
Moments later, the emergency lights flickered on, and a staff member’s voice echoed through the speakers. “We’re very sorry. Due to a technical malfunction, tonight’s show cannot continue.”
“What? Are you serious? We came all this way for this!”
“Don’t you check your equipment ahead of time?”
The audience began to grumble and protest–until the next
announcement came.
