“Right, you should get her home,” Lara urged, relieved. If they stayed any longer, there was no telling if Vince would fly into a drunken rage.

After Sebastian left with Riley, Lara turned back toward Vince, frustrated. “What is wrong with you? You know Riley and Sebastian are together now!”

“I do,” Vince said, letting out a bitter laugh. “I know that. I just… I can’t let it go. I met Rye way before Sebastian ever did. If I hadn’t been so cautious back then, if I’d just said something earlier… Maybe things would’ve been different.”
