Vince had been heading to the bar after work when Lara called him. His uncle overheard the conversation and decided to tag along.

Lara felt a headache coming on. She looked at Shawn. “What are you doing here? Tonight was supposed to be just me, Riley, and Vince.”

“I’m worried you’ll get drunk and try something inappropriate with my nephew,” Shawn said with a straight face. “You do have a history.”
