Chapter 283 Remarry
Bryce continued, “I’m the one who’s actually right for you. Those three years we were married weren’t bad, right? The company did really well too.
“Let’s get back together. This time, there’s no Bella in the picture. I’ll treat you right. I’ll give you half the company shares and make you vice president. You’ll have real decision–making power in the business.”
Bryce spilled out his words in one breath. His tone sounded like begging, but he still carried that arrogant attitude like he was doing her a favor.
“I’m not interested!” Riley shot him down and grabbed Lara’s arm to leave.
“Wait!” Bryce panicked and blocked their path. “Riley, I’ve made myself crystal clear. Don’t you get it? Sebastian dumped you. Who else would want a divorced woman? I’m the best option you’ve got. I’m trying to make things right!”
Riley scoffed. “Really, Bryce? I don’t have to get married, and you’re definitely not my best option. So stop flattering yourself.
“You aren’t making things right with me. Your company is falling apart, and you just want me back to do all the work while you sit pretty as CEO!”

“Exactly,” Lara jumped in with a smirk. “Some people just have zero self–awareness. He thought he was so capable, bragging about taking the company public in three years. But the second you left? Everything collapsed.
“At this rate, Murphy Tech won’t even exist in three years. Actually, probably not even three months!”
Bryce’s face flushed with rage. His hand shot up to strike Lara
-only for Riley to catch his wrist before it could land.
Bryce felt his wrist explode with pain. The next second, Riley kicked him in the knee, and he crashed to the ground.
“Try touching my friend and see what happens.” Riley stood over him, her eyes deadly cold.
At that moment, Bryce felt something he hadn’t expected-
fear.
He watched Riley and Lara walk away, then struggled to his feet. He couldn’t just sit here doing nothing.
Bella had blackmailed him… Why couldn’t he use the same tactic on Riley?
If he could force Riley back to the company, make her help him steady the business, he still had a shot at saving it.

Bryce pulled out a lighter from his pocket. Unless someone

looked closely, they’d never notice the tiny camera hidden
inside it.
“Riley, you’re forcing me to do this,” Bryce muttered to
himself.

30 minutes later, in the lounge…
Two muscular bodyguards held Bryce’s arms on both sides, forcing him down on his knees.
Sebastian sat on the couch, his deep eyes staring coldly at
Bryce.
“Mr. Torres, this is a micro camera,” Felix said, holding up the lighter they’d found on Bryce.
Sebastian toyed with the lighter, then flicked a finger.
Felix caught on instantly, setting a cigarette between his fingers.
With an easy click, Sebastian lit it, exhaling smoke before tossing the lighter onto the coffee table.
His gaze cut to Bryce, cold and steady. “So, Bryce… what exactly were you planning to film with this camera?” 3/5

“I… I was just curious. Bought it to mess around with,” Bryce muttered, sweat pouring down his face.
“Curious?” Sebastian’s tone was cool, almost amused.
“Y–yes! Just curiosity, nothing else!” Bryce stammered, his voice cracking.
Sebastian let out a low chuckle, then snapped his fingers. “Too bad I don’t believe you. Someone, make him talk.”
“Yes, Mr. Torres.” A subordinate stepped forward and twisted Bryce’s wrist hard.
A sharp crack echoed. Bryce’s right wrist snapped, his scream tearing through the room. Another sickening pop followed as his shoulder was wrenched out of place.
When the man hefted a hammer and angled it at his leg, Bryce broke, panicked.
“Wait! I’ll talk! The camera… I just wanted to film some stuff involving Riley!”
Sebastian’s eyes turned cold.
Just then, one of Sebastian’s men brought over a bottle of wine, the same bottle Bryce had been messing with in the
lounge earlier.

Bryce’s face went pale when he saw it.
“Mr. Torres, this wine’s been drugged,” the subordinate reported. “Same stuff the club uses when someone won’t play along.”
Sebastian’s gaze went glacial as he fixed on Bryce. “So, you wanted Riley to drink this, and then let your little hidden camera capture something disgusting?”
Bryce stumbled over his words, “I… I just wanted to remarry Riley. Mr. Torres, you already dumped her, right? I only went after her because you threw her away.”
“Remarry?” Sebastian’s voice got even colder. He walked up to Bryce and pressed his lit cigarette directly onto Bryce’s head, twisting it out.
Bryce screamed in agony as the cigarette burned his scalp.
