Chapter 284 Drugged
“Bryce, you’ll never remarry Riley in this lifetime!” Sebastian snatched up the drugged wine, poured it into a glass, and ordered, “Make him finish the rest. Then drag him out and
leave him to rot.”
“Yes, Mr. Torres!” The subordinate forced the alcohol down Bryce’s throat and hauled him away.
Sebastian swirled what was left in his own glass, then glanced at Felix. “Tell me. If I drink this, will Riley come save me?”
“Mr. Torres!” Felix startled as Sebastian lifted the glass toward his lips, grabbing for it in alarm.
Sebastian’s gaze slid to him, calm and dangerous. “Move your hand.”
“Mr. Torres, that drink’s drugged. It could really hurt you!” Felix pleaded.
Sebastian murmured, almost to himself, “If it did… would she finally care?”
He was talking about Riley, of course.
Felix didn’t know what to say.

Felix bit his lip and finally pulled his hand away. “Mr. Torres, what if you drink this and Ms. Anderson won’t come help you?”
“Then I guess I lost the bet.” Sebastian raised the glass and downed it in one gulp.
He looked back at Felix. “Alright. Time for you to go tell her.”
He needed to know if she still had feelings for him. Even if it meant gambling with his own body, he didn’t care.

Riley and Lara were talking business with people from other companies when Felix rushed over to them.
“Ms. Anderson, something’s wrong with Mr. Torres. You need to come check on him right now!” Felix said, totally freaking
out.
“What?” Riley froze.
Something happened to Sebastian?
Felix begged, “Mr. Torres is in real trouble. Ms. Anderson, please, you gotta come.”
Riley started following Felix without thinking. She walked a few steps, then suddenly stopped.

“Ms. Anderson?” Felix looked lost.
Riley’s lips got tight. “If Sebastian’s really in trouble, you should call the cops or get him to a hospital. Not come get me.”
Felix quickly explained, “Mr. Torres just won’t go to the hospital. He keeps saying he has to see you, Ms. Anderson.”
Riley tensed up. “Is he injured?”
“Well…” Felix hesitated for a moment, then leaned close to Riley’s ear and whispered, “Mr. Torres drank something spiked. He won’t go to the doctor. He just keeps asking for you, Ms. Anderson.”
Riley got it right away. Some woman who liked Sebastian must have drugged him.
Hearing that he wasn’t in critical danger, she exhaled a small breath of relief.
“We’re not together anymore. He shouldn’t be calling me for this,” Riley said. “Mr. Wayne, get Sebastian to the hospital now. The doctors will handle it.”
Felix’s stomach knotted. Sebastian’s instructions had been
crystal clear: he had to see Riley, no matter what.
Felix sighed. “You know how Mr. Torres gets. Once he decides 3/5

something, that’s it. He says he needs to see you, so he’s not going anywhere until he does.
“And, Ms. Anderson… he really is in bad shape. Even if it’s just for old times‘ sake, please go see him.”
Riley kept quiet, her lips tight. She knew exactly what Sebastian was doing–making her come to him.
But then what? After what Sebastian did to Samuel, their trust was completely broken. How could they possibly get back together?
Lara hadn’t heard Felix mention the drugged drink, but it was obvious Sebastian needed medical attention. And just as obvious, he wouldn’t go unless Riley came.
She noticed the conflict flickering in Riley’s eyes and stepped closer.
“Riley, if you still care even a little, then go. Get him to the hospital before something really happens. You don’t want this turning into a regret.”
Riley paused, her chest tightening. A bitter smile curved her lips. “Fine. I’ll check on him first.”
She turned to Felix. “Lead the way.”
