**Chapter 34: Powerlessness**
**Lucky Draw**
Riley’s calls had become predictable, a monotonous cycle of futile grievances and desperate pleas for his attention. Bryce found himself growing weary of the same old complaints, the same old heartache. Tonight was different; he had more pressing matters to attend to, more significant conversations to engage in. He decided he would address her concerns after the gala, when the evening’s festivities had concluded.
Just then, a stir at the entrance caught his attention. Bella, ever the attentive companion, lightly touched his arm and said, “Mr. Torres has arrived. We should go and greet him.”
Bryce turned his gaze toward the entrance and saw the imposing figure of Sebastian Torres stepping into the hotel lobby, flanked by an entourage that seemed to part the crowd with ease. The man exuded an aura of undeniable charisma, his strikingly handsome features complemented by an icy demeanor that made everyone else feel insignificant in his presence. When his piercing eyes scanned the room, it was as if he were assessing the worth of each individual.
This man was the embodiment of true nobility, a figure who stood on a pedestal far above the rest.
How could I have ever imagined that someone of his caliber would have any interest in Riley?
Bryce couldn’t help but chuckle at his own naivety. Surely, Sebastian had merely been offering a kind gesture when he had driven her home that one time.

**Chapter 34: Powerlessness**
**Lucky Draw**
In Room 1205, Riley felt her heart plummet as Bryce abruptly ended the call. A wave of despair washed over her, chilling her to the bone.
She had extended so many olive branches, yet each time, she was met with nothing but disappointment and emotional turmoil.
With a heavy heart, she turned to Claire and Amanda, her voice trembling slightly as she said, “We’ve been like family for three years. If you choose to stop this now, I’m willing to let it all go.”
Claire let out a mocking laugh, her eyes glinting with malice. “Oh, you think you can just walk away from this? Even if I were to agree, these two gentlemen here would never allow it! I specifically chose two strong ones just for you, since we’re ‘family’ and all!”
