Divorced CEO's Forgotten Wife Strikes Back (Riley and Bryce) novel Chapter 407

Chapter 407 Sebastian's Nightmare

Benedict's smile didn't reach his eyes. "But Riley, you have to understand—there's nothing more important to your grandmother and me than you and Samuel. Your grandmother only had two kids: your mom and me. I'm not getting married, I'm not having children. Everything we have is going to you and your brother."

"But—"

"Alright, if you don’t want to take these jewels all at once, they can stay here for now. Whenever you want to wear them, just come get them," Benedict said.

Riley couldn't refuse again and nodded.

Just as Riley was about to return to her hotel, Benedict suddenly asked, "You've been in Russia for quite some time now. How are things going between you and Sebastian?"

"He hasn't fully agreed to get back together with me yet, but he's not exactly saying no either. I'm still working on it," Riley replied.

"You're also a Lincoln. If Sebastian isn't interested, I can introduce you to plenty of great guys who'd be lucky to have you!" Benedict said.

Riley smiled. "But even if there are plenty of great guys out there, I only love Sebastian."

After saying goodbye, Riley turned and left.

Benedict sighed. His niece had clearly made up her mind about Sebastian.

Well, Sebastian better treat her right. Because if he hurt Riley, Benedict wouldn't let him get away with it.

When Riley returned to the hotel, she found Sebastian leaning against the sofa with his eyes closed, taking a nap.

Seeing this, she couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. After all, Sebastian had been suffering from insomnia before—he couldn't even sleep properly at night, let alone take naps.

But now, she was actually seeing him rest.

Did this mean his insomnia was getting better?

At this thought, she smiled and walked closer to Sebastian.

But the next moment, the smile faded from her lips.

He wasn't sleeping peacefully. Sweat beaded on his forehead, his brow was furrowed, and his face showed clear signs of distress.

Riley suddenly remembered the nightmares Sebastian had told her about.

Was he having one now?

At this thought, Riley grew nervous.

The sweat on Sebastian's forehead was increasing.

Riley pulled out a tissue, wanting to wipe away his sweat.

But the moment the tissue touched his forehead, his tightly closed eyes suddenly snapped open, filled with terror and regret.

Riley frowned, feeling his grip on her wrist tighten painfully—so tight that her bones ached.
