Divorced CEO's Forgotten Wife Strikes Back (Riley and Bryce) novel Chapter 406

Chapter 406 Legacy

After all, as Sebastian's attending physician, he knew exactly how deeply Sebastian loved Riley.

"I'm not worried, because her love for me isn't that deep yet."

So once this month was over, she would give up.

This was his choice. But why did the thought of her giving this love to another man someday fill him with such overwhelming jealousy and resentment?

When Benedict returned, Riley had just gotten the cast removed from her right leg.

Thanks to her good constitution, she recovered faster than most people. Now that the cast was off, she didn't need crutches anymore. As long as she avoided running or jumping, she could walk slowly for short distances.

"Why don't you come stay with us? We’re family," Benedict suggested.

Though he hadn't yet explained Samuel and Riley's true identities to his mother, he had briefed the household staff.

So when Riley walked into the Lincoln family home today, everyone treated her with newfound respect, though they weren't quite sure how to address her yet.

"I'm planning to stay with Sebastian for now, so I won't be moving back just yet. After I visit Grandma, I'll be heading back to the States," Riley said. "But don't worry—I'll come visit you and Grandma often."

Benedict understood what his niece was really saying—she planned to make America her permanent home.

It made sense. Riley had been born and raised in the States. Everyone she loved—her family, friends, and Sebastian—was there. Of course she wouldn't settle in Russia.

"Just promise you'll come back to visit," Benedict said. "You'll always be a Lincoln, no matter where you live."

"Thanks." Riley nodded. "Speaking of Grandma, when can I see her? When can we meet?"

"Your grandmother's been having some tough days lately, so she's still in the care facility," Benedict explained. "Once she's feeling more stable, I'll gradually tell her about your mother, then arrange for you two to meet."

Riley nodded. "Okay."

"Would you like to see your mother's room?" Benedict stood up.

Riley blinked in surprise. Mom's room?

"We've kept your mother's room all these years. No matter how many times we've redecorated or moved things around, we always kept it for her," Benedict said, heading upstairs.
