Quinn arrived at the restaurant alone. Kieran had planned to come with her, but Reginald had called him out unexpectedly.

It was just a work meeting. She could handle it on her own. She didn’t need anyone else there.

She waited a few minutes before Derek Ford, her potential partner, arrived.

Her projects and patents aligned perfectly with Ford Group’s vision. She hoped to build a long–term partnership with him.

That’s why she’d taken this meeting so seriously–even picking the restaurant herself.

“Mr. Ford. I’m Quinn Hart. It’s a pleasure to meet you,” she said confidently, extending her hand.

“Miss Hart, I’ve heard great things about you,” Derek replied warmly, shaking her hand. He didn’t let go right away. “Your patents are impressive. We’re developing similar tech, and your proposals fit our needs perfectly. Let’s sit and talk–over drinks.”

Derek grinned, clearly enjoying the attention from a beautiful woman.

“Cheers, Miss Hart!” he said, raising his glass.
