Juniper doesn't lower her voice. Several students walking by stop to watch the drama unfold.

"Isn't that Sheryl Yardley? The girl who just got back from an exchange program abroad?"

"Yeah. I heard a few weeks ago she went to the Schwartz estate for the holidays and gave them fake gifts. It was a massive scandal."

"And he got hit but was smiling the whole time! He looked like he enjoyed it!"

Hearing the whispers, the crowd stares at Sheryl with blatant contempt and mockery.
