Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1126

Die?

In the driver's seat, Flint's eyes nearly bugged out of his head.

He had only been gone for a couple of weeks, and the world had turned completely upside down. Was she actually planning to assassinate the Boss?

Or... was this some twisted, dark couple's banter?!

Flint swallowed hard, keeping his eyes glued to the road, desperately hoping he was just hallucinating.

"How do you want to die?" Juniper leaned sideways, resting her cheek against his shoulder. Her clear, bright eyes studied him intently, a faint, playful smile on her lips.

Flint: "?"

She sounded like she was joking, but this was a terrifying topic for casual car talk.

"Whatever you decide." Shanley gently brushed his knuckles against her cheek. "I'll die however you want me to."

Flint: "???"

"Alright." Juniper chuckled lazily, arching an eyebrow. "How about a massive car crash that leaves you in a coma, followed by Subterra Vanguard wiping out the Sigma Network base..."

"I like the sound of that," Shanley smirked. But a moment later, a thought struck him. "We're going to have to warn my family, though."

His grandparents' health was fragile; they wouldn't survive the shock if they thought it was real.

"Flint, take us to the Schwartz family estate," Juniper ordered.

"Yes, Miss Payne," Flint nodded respectfully.

Shortly after, the car pulled up to the grand estate. Felton was already waiting by the entrance.

"?"

When he saw Flint, Felton froze for a solid second. For a moment, he thought Shanley had hired a completely new bodyguard.

It took him a second to realize it was just Flint, baked to a crisp.

"Oh, it's just you." Miranda stared at her son in pure disappointment. "I thought Juniper was coming. Where is she?"

"Yeah, what are you doing here? Where's my granddaughter-in-law?" Hannah, dressed elegantly in a silk housecoat and carrying a small plate of exquisite pastries, immediately hid the plate behind her back the moment she realized she wasn't looking at her favorite person.

Shanley set his cup down, his lips twitching in annoyance. He leaned back against the sofa, letting out a lazy sigh. "What? You're not happy to see me?"

"Until you officially marry her and bring her into this family, there's not much for us to be happy about," Hannah said bluntly, holding nothing back. "Spit it out, brat. Where is she?"

"You didn't lie just to get our hopes up, did you?" Miranda's eyes narrowed dangerously. "Because if you did, you can turn right around and go back to work. We have nothing to say to you."

Shanley let out a dry, exasperated laugh.

The saying usually went that a man forgets his mother once he gets a wife. In the Schwartz family, it was the exact opposite. He hadn't even married her yet, and his own mother and grandmother were already ready to throw him out on the street.

"Hannah, Miranda."

Just as the two women were about to walk away in disgust, Juniper emerged from the washroom, wiping her hands on a paper towel. She flashed them a warm, brilliant smile. "I can vouch for him. He didn't lie. So please, don't kick him out."
