Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1221

"That crazy old bastard. He's really capable of anything."

"Right."

Shanley Schwartz understood instantly. "Pull back the men from the two major factions. Just send a few out to make some noise."

"Mm."

Juniper Payne nodded in satisfaction. Shanley was getting incredibly good at reading her mind.

"For now, we wait," Juniper said, setting a deadline after some thought. "Seven days. If there's still no word on my mother in seven days, I'll take action myself."

"Will she really be okay?" Coralie Quill's face was pale.

"Trust my mother." Juniper took a deep breath, forcing a smile. "She still has to come back for my engagement party and wedding."

So...

She would definitely return safely.

The others remained silent.

Juniper's decisions had never been wrong.

Meanwhile.

Theia Sommers had a bomb strapped around her waist. She sat in the passenger seat, staring out the window with a blank expression.

The detonator was in Corvus Thorne's hand.

With one press of a button, she would be blown to pieces.

"I'm taking you somewhere." Corvus turned to look at her, beaming with the joy of regaining something lost. "You're going to be thrilled."

Theia ignored him, treating his words like thin air.

"Dreamward Villa."

Corvus slowly uttered the name, raising an eyebrow. "How about it? Are you happy?"

Dreamward Villa?

Theia sharply retracted her gaze, staring at him with eyes brimming with pure hatred.

Dreamward Villa was the eighteenth birthday present her parents had given her.

"Corvus, aren't you afraid they'll come back to claim your life?"

Corvus's smile stiffened slightly before returning to normal. He retorted with a murderous glint in his eyes, "That had nothing to do with me. They brought it upon themselves."

"They could have partnered with Albia Country and made a fortune, but they insisted on guarding their pathetic little clinic and tried to stop me."

"And."

Corvus tightened his grip on the steering wheel, accelerating. "They knew I loved you, yet they agreed to let Silas date you."

"To put it bluntly, they looked down on me. They despised the fact that my biological parents were murderers. They despised me for being the son of a murderer!"

"They were ruthless first, so they shouldn't blame me for being ungrateful!"

Watching the speeding car, Theia clenched her fists, enunciating every word. "You're a lunatic!"

"I am!"

Corvus admitted with a smile, his gaze softening. "It doesn't matter. You're going to marry me soon anyway."

"Theia, we'll be a family again, never to be separated."
