Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1249

"Will do!"

Everyone obediently returned to their desks one by one.

"Juniper, aren't you curious about what you got on the last exam?" Hattie leaned in, asking mysteriously.

"100."

Juniper answered without a second thought.

"How did you know?"

Hattie's eyes widened in astonishment. "I was the only one who saw the grades."

"You barely showed up to class, and you still got a perfect score."

"Is that right?"

Juniper patted her head, smiling lightly. "The test was pretty easy."

"Easy?"

Hattie stared at her, offering a painful smile. "I got a 75."

"Lots of room for improvement then," Juniper said calmly. "Keep at it."

After class, Tucker called her to his office.

"This gift was made by me and my wife." Tucker handed her an exquisite little box. "It's not worth much money—just two handmade dolls. My wife had them spiritually empowered. The master said they'll definitely bless you with safety and happiness."

"Thank you, Tucker." Juniper brushed a finger over the doll's face, the corners of her lips turning up. "Thank your wife for me, too."

"Don't mention it," Tucker scratched his head sheepishly, offering an awkward laugh. "I was worried you wouldn't like it."

This girl wasn't short on money. Cheap gifts were embarrassing to give, and he couldn't afford anything luxurious.

He had no choice but to rely on sentimental value.

"I love it," Juniper said with a bright, earnest smile. "I'll give it to Shanley and pass on your blessings."

"Good, good."

Tucker then pulled out his private stash of snacks, offering them generously. "Take whatever you like. It's all yours."

"All of it?"

"Ah?"

Tucker's smile froze for a few seconds before he stammered, "S-sure."

"I'm kidding."
