Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1295

Did she just lift that entire lab desk like it was nothing?

What?!

The workstations in the medical department weren't standard school desks. Outfitted with computers and heavy experimental equipment, the whole setup weighed easily over two hundred pounds.

Usually, it took a few people to move one for maintenance.

And Juniper just lifted it with her bare hands?

More importantly, she did it so casually, as if she were picking up a small kitten.

Leland froze in his seat, staring at Juniper as she rolled her wrists. Pure terror flashed in his eyes.

"Don't panic," Juniper said, stuffing her hands into her pockets. She turned toward him, flashing a bright, utterly manufactured smile. "The desk was slightly crooked. I just nudged it a bit."

Nudged it a bit? the rest of the class thought wildly.

Was this something a fragile, pampered girl was supposed to be capable of?

Judging by that display of raw power, she could probably punch a cow to death.

Leland swallowed hard, too afraid to even exhale loudly.

"I'm done. You guys can go back to chatting." Juniper offered a lazy smirk, strolled right back to her seat, and happily opened a game on her phone.

The previously buzzing classroom fell dead silent.

No one dared utter another word.

Shortly after, Professor Dawson walked in carrying a stack of exams. His face was darker than a thundercloud.

He was visibly furious.

Leland instantly straightened his posture, glancing back at a calm Juniper with a gloating smirk.

A zero.

Once the grades were announced, he couldn't wait to see how she'd have the nerve to claim she "understood the material" and stay in the class.

"Look at how you all performed on this exam," Professor Dawson slammed the papers onto the podium, glaring icy daggers at the room. "If you're this careless now, who in their right mind would ever trust you with a patient?"

The students remained dead silent. Professor Dawson was notoriously strict; they were used to the brutal scoldings.

"On this test, someone actually scored a zero," he announced, his voice vibrating with rage.

Someone really got a zero?
