Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1304

Richard looked back and forth between the two of them, his eyes wide with utter shock.

Luella glanced at him before nervously darting her eyes away.

Richard thought: I nailed it!

When Luella makes a move, she really goes all out!

What would Juniper say if she found out?

"Nice to meet you."

Richard ignored the crushing pain in his hand, putting on a brave face. "I'm Luella's closest confidant."

Luella: "?"

Closest confidant, my foot!

"Is that right?"

Jimmie's gaze grew icier, his breathing slightly ragged. He fired back with heavy sarcasm, "I've heard her list of confidants and sweethearts can wrap around the globe a few times. I wonder what rank you hold?"

Richard narrowed his eyes, studying the man intently.

What on earth was going on here?

Why did Jimmie look like he was ready to murder him out of pure jealousy?

Had Luella already succeeded in turning him?

He'd never heard any rumors about Jimmie being into guys!

"Luella, tell him. What rank am I?"

Richard decided to test the waters. He forcefully pulled his hand back, yanked Luella to his side, and slung an arm around her shoulder like a bro.

Seeing their intimate posture, Jimmie's face turned darker than the bottom of a charred pot.

"You're in the top tier, okay?" Luella shoved Richard's arm off, her mind spinning. "Entertain yourself. I've got to take him home."

"How am I supposed to get in touch with Juniper?" Richard pressed.

"I already sent her a text. She'll reach out to you soon." Luella waved dismissively, then turned to a sour-faced Jimmie. "Let's go, Your Highness. Your chauffeur awaits."

Jimmie shot Richard one last death glare before slowly following her out. "He knows Juniper?"

"Yeah."

Luella shoved her hands in her pockets, answering casually. "The three of us are incredibly tight. We're practically inseparable."

Jimmie pursed his lips, cursing himself for asking.

Back in the car.

Luella checked her phone and saw a barrage of messages from Richard.

He had never given her anything but attitude!

In the passenger seat, Jimmie watched her frantically typing away on her phone without making any move to start the car. A knot formed in his chest.

Was she still chatting with her little "confidant"?

"How much longer?" he demanded sharply.

"Alright, alright."

Snapping back to reality, she tossed her phone aside and started the engine. "Where to?"

"The Hillside Villa."

He leaned back. Standing for too long had caused his leg to throb.

The accident had derailed his schedule, leaving him with no choice but to push through his work commitments.

"Got it."

She gripped the steering wheel, her eyes glued to the road ahead.

On the outside, she looked entirely calm. On the inside, she was a nervous wreck.

Richard said he was into her?

If he felt anything for her, it was probably the urge to strangle her!
