Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1420

The misunderstanding was completely cleared up.

After dinner, Juniper snuggled into his arms as they watched the videos together.

The first one was the clip of her drunk.

Back then, she hadn't realized the juice was spiked with a custom-mixed cocktail.

It tasted incredible, so she drank several glasses.

It wasn't long before everything went south.

In her drunken stupor, she had grabbed Michelle's pet dog and spent the entire night demanding its contact info.

The dog had tried to resist, but to no avail.

As a result, from that day onward, the dog took massive detours whenever she was around.

"Heh."

Watching the tiny, intoxicated girl and the helpless, traumatized dog on the screen, a deep chuckle rumbled from his chest as he couldn't help but tease, "You're this cute when you're drunk?"

Asking a dog for its messaging app handle?

The dog's psychological trauma must have been immeasurable.

"Don't laugh at me!" Her cheeks burned as she aggressively pinched his waist.

Dammit.

He worked out way too much; his muscles were completely rock hard, and she just ended up hurting her own fingers.

"Let's watch the next one."

He grabbed her hand, pressing a lingering kiss to her knuckles as a deep, genuine smile spread across his face.

The second video: [Sleep-talking Baby Nocturne].

During that phase, she was stressed out of her mind teaching courses to medical heavyweights.

She was reciting English vocabulary in her sleep, getting so worked up that she started shouting words of encouragement.

Not just once, either.

Her shouts were so loud that they jolted Michelle completely awake in the middle of the night.

Michelle had quickly grabbed her phone to document the hilarious scene.

The third video showed her suffering from eating entirely too much, hiccuping uncontrollably because her stomach was too full.

Every time she spoke a word, she let out a loud hiccup.

It was incredibly adorable.

The fourth video...

Just as he was about to tap play, she scrambled out of his arms, muttering indignantly, "Watch it yourself. I ate too much. I'm going to go work out."

Work out?

She kept walking.

Ever since her secret identity was revealed the day before, she had practically become a walking holy relic inside the medical school.

Everyone stared at her with unblinking intensity, looking at her like she was the Holy Grail and they were desperate to get a piece of her.

It was so annoying.

She quickened her pace, heading straight for the elite class.

"Good morning, Professor Dawson."

Seeing her impeccably dressed professor standing right at the classroom door, she offered a polite bow.

"Oh, heavens, please don't!" Dawson panicked, quickly bowing back with a massive, eager smile plastered on his face. "You're Dr. Nocturne! I'd never dare accept a bow from you."

"Hurry on inside, class is about to start," he urged, reaching his hands out. "Shall I carry your bag for you?"

"No thanks." Terrified, she quickly yanked her backpack out of his reach and blinked rapidly. "Professor Dawson, you're scaring me."

"What's there to be scared of?!" He wiped the sweat from his forehead, forcing a wide grin. "Come, come, head on in. Watch your step!"

Rendered entirely speechless once again, she clutched her backpack and stepped into the room.

"Whoosh—"

The moment she looked up, every single student in the room stood up in perfect unison, greeting her with one booming voice: "Good morning, Dr. Nocturne."
