Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1519

Felicia had been one of the lead surgeons in her grandmother's operation, after all.

"Just doing my job." Felicia tucked her hands into her pockets, flashing a casual smile. "You're glowing. It looks like you and Harold finally cleared the air."

Lorelei's cheeks grew warm, and she gently bit her lower lip.

"Relax. Since you've got him locked down, I'm not going to try and steal him from you," Felicia raised a brow, speaking in a breezy, unhurried tone. "I like to think I'm a woman of principle. I strictly keep my actions within the bounds of common decency."

"Though, if you and Harold ever did get divorced, I probably would have gone after him."

"We're not getting divorced."

Lorelei beamed at her, her pink lips parting slightly. "So it looks like you won't be getting that chance after all."

"Is that so?"

Felicia put on an overly exaggerated look of disappointment and sighed dramatically. "Well, aren't I just tragically unlucky."

The two women exchanged a look and burst into laughter.

"Alright, I need to get back to work." Felicia glanced at her watch and tapped her forehead. "Let's grab lunch sometime!"

"Sounds good."

Lorelei waved at her, her eyes sparkling with genuine amusement.

This world truly couldn't function without kind-hearted, straightforward girls like her.

"La la la~"

Humming a little tune, Felicia strolled back toward her office.

Knowing she had zero chance with Harold actually felt like a massive weight off her shoulders. Now she could finally focus her energy on finding some fresh meat.

Finding a good man might be tough, but there are plenty of fish in the sea.

As she was walking.

Someone suddenly called out from behind her, "Felicia Bishop."

"?"

Felicia turned around in confusion. The face looked vaguely familiar, but she couldn't immediately put a name to it.

"I'm Lorelei's younger sister." Lexi Bellamy marched up to her, her eyes flashing with a cold hostility.

Oh.

Felicia remembered now. The affair baby from that homewrecker stepmother.

"Can I help you?"
