Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1541

Malcolm Sherwin gulped. How was this any different from blatantly backing her up?

"You can't just take the group because you want it," Malcolm said coldly. "Unless the old man crawls out of his grave and hands it to you himself."

"Alright."

Juniper wasn't angry. She said slowly, "Then let Grandpa tell everyone himself."

What?

At her words, Malcolm's heart skipped a beat.

"Ms. Payne, it's ready."

Felton adjusted the projector and asked respectfully, "Shall I play it now?"

Juniper nodded.

Soon enough.

The figure of Lemuel Sherwin, who had been dead for nearly two years, appeared on the large screen.

He was lying in a hospital bed with an oxygen tube over his nose, looking incredibly haggard.

But when facing the camera, his weathered face maintained a loving smile.

"Hello everyone, I am Lemuel Sherwin. First, I want to prove that this video is being recorded while I am of sound mind and in the presence of my lawyer. This video is primarily to make arrangements for my affairs after I pass..."

How is this possible?

Looking at his father in the video, Malcolm's eyes widened.

His father had not only written a will but also recorded a video.

And he had kept a trick up his sleeve, never giving the video to him.

That old geezer.

Malcolm gritted his teeth in anger. By the time he snapped out of it, the video was already nearing its end.

The old man continued: "Juniper is a brilliant child. On several occasions when the company faced difficulties, she was the one who figured out solutions and brought in investments. Without this girl, the Sherwin Group wouldn't be where it is today."

"Therefore, I am making my will here. The inheritance rights to the Sherwin Group belong to Juniper. Eighty percent of the Sherwin family's assets, including my personal assets, are also to be entirely handled by Juniper."

"Everyone in the Sherwin family, and everyone in the company, must treat her with the utmost respect."

"I have also left a handwritten letter in triplicate. One copy is kept by the lawyer, one given to my son Malcolm, and one given to Juniper."

"The lawyer has a notarized original copy as well. If you don't believe me, feel free to investigate."

The old man's handwriting was unique and hard to forge, and they all recognized it.

This will was indeed written by Lemuel Sherwin.

"The reason I didn't fight for it before was out of respect for Grandpa, and because I couldn't be bothered with this bit of pocket change."

Juniper looked at Malcolm, her red lips moving, her aura imposing. "Are you going to get out yourself, or should I have you thrown out?"

"Juniper Payne—"

Malcolm, of course, refused to concede and furiously tried to charge at her.

"Oh."

Juniper stood her ground, staring at him calmly, and parted her lips: "You've chosen to be thrown."

"Let go of me, let go, ah—"

Malcolm was flanked by Felton and Flint and dragged out of the conference room.
