Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1545

"Shanley really values this wedding." Janet flashed a sweet smile. "Juniper, I'm kind of looking forward to your wedding."

It was bound to be grand and unique.

"Mhm." Juniper tilted her head, her eyes sparkling. "I heard the head chef for the Western catering is a top-tier chef brought in from a Michelin-starred restaurant. It's definitely going to be delicious."

"Hehe."

Janet listened quietly and gave an awkward smile.

What kind of bride wasn't excited about her own wedding, only caring about whether the food would be good or not?

Along the way.

Janet kept yawning non-stop.

"Didn't sleep well?" Juniper parked the scooter and instinctively looked at her.

"A little."

Janet pouted, as if complaining. "Mr. Steele has been studying law lately, and there's a lot he doesn't understand. He asked me to explain it to him, and he was still asking questions at 10 p.m."

He was so eager to learn that she felt bad rejecting him.

Juniper opened her mouth but didn't have the heart to expose him.

Her brother was making quite the "progress" just to chase his future wife.

School of Law.

As soon as Janet arrived at the entrance, she suddenly ran into Kian.

Kian: "Good morning."

Janet smiled: "Good morning, Kian."

"I heard you like pastries, and a new bakery just opened nearby. I bought some for you to try." Kian handed the bag to Janet.

"Ah?" Janet looked bewildered and a bit flustered. "Thanks, but I already had breakfast."

"But I already bought it..." Kian stayed patient, pretending to look helpless. "If you can't finish it, you can share it with the other students."

"Alright, thank you." Janet took it and looked at him again. "Did you need anything else?"

"Are you free at noon?" Kian stared intently at her, lowering his voice. "I didn't quite understand some of the points from the previous debate. I could use your help."

Kian had helped her out a lot in the past, so Janet couldn't refuse. "Yes, I've already organized all the materials. I'll give them to you then."

Noon.

Clutching the materials, Janet arrived on time to meet Kian.

"Sit."

Kian pulled out a chair for her and pulled out a necklace. "Janet, I heard next week is your birthday. I saw this at the mall yesterday and thought it suited you perfectly. I hope you like it."

Staring at the necklace, Janet was a little stunned and opened her mouth to decline: "Kian, I..."

Just then.

A familiar voice suddenly came from behind: "What a coincidence."

The two turned around to see Melvin slowly walking over.

"Mr. Steele." Kian's eyes lit up, a sycophantic smile appearing on his face. "What brings you to the cafeteria yourself?"

"Why wouldn't I be?"

Melvin didn't answer directly. He glanced at the items on the table, raised an eyebrow, and chuckled. "I use the restroom myself, too."
