Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1732

Not far away.

Annie Ainsworth and her best friend had just walked out of a boutique with their new bags and happened to see this scene.

"That woman's schemes are really something else," her friend said, glaring viciously at Ebony Fox's retreating figure with a caustic tone. "She actually managed to manipulate Kurt into breaking ties with his family."

"Isn't she just relying on her sister marrying some big shot?"

Annie gripped her purse strap tightly and said coldly, "Her sister married into a wealthy family, and now she wants a piece of the pie too, without even considering if she's worthy."

"Kurt is just momentarily blinded. Once he comes to his senses, he won't want her."

"Annie, what are you going to do?" her friend asked. "Whatever you do, don't offend Juniper. Neither she nor her husband are people you can afford to mess with."

"I'm not stupid," Annie sneered. "Naturally, I'm just going to wait for Ebony Fox to fall right into a trap. When the time comes, she won't be able to defend herself."

"Even if she is Juniper's sister, so what? Can she really silence everyone?"

Her friend stared at Annie, unable to guess exactly how she planned to deal with Ebony Fox.

But seeing her smile so confidently, she knew nothing would go wrong.

Ebony Fox was doomed.

Inside the movie theater.

Even though it was a horror movie, the attendance was quite high.

Ebony Fox and Kurt were seated in the second-to-last row, which offered a perfect viewing angle.

Plus, the movie was in 3D, making the realism incredible.

Eerie scenes, terrifying music, and the deliberately rendered horror atmosphere.

It cast a heavy shadow of dread over the entire theater.

It was truly spine-chilling.

Watching the screen and listening to the sound, Kurt felt as if a giant hand was squeezing his heart, making it hard to breathe.

What was going on?

Even knowing it was all fake, he was still genuinely terrified.

Kurt turned his head to look at the girl beside him.

Ebony Fox was staring unblinking at the screen. Not only was she unafraid, but she was watching with great relish.

Kurt: "?"

Ebony Fox had seen a lot of intense situations in her past, so this kind of petty scare at the beginning definitely wouldn't frighten her.

The real essence was in the middle.

Seeing Kurt staring blankly at her, Ebony Fox frowned slightly. "Is there something on my face?"

"No." Kurt pursed his lips and asked, "Are you not scared?"

"No." Ebony Fox's lips curled into a slight smile. "The acting is quite realistic; the director definitely has some skills."

"But the angle of the murder is wrong, and the trajectory of the blood spurting out is too fake."

Ebony Fox continued her analysis. "It should have been a bit lower, slicing the carotid artery."

Kurt pursed his lips, unable to offer an opinion.

The scene was bloody and terrifying; he had his eyes closed.

"You're not scared, are you?" Ebony Fox asked tentatively, noticing his pale expression.

"Of course not!"

Kurt puffed out his chest and said confidently, "Why would I be scared of such childish movies?"

As he spoke.

Kurt's eyes flicked back to the screen, just in time to see the wardrobe door creak open.

A man wrapped head to toe in cling film, his face crawling with maggots, tumbled out.
