“What are you looking at?”

Just as he was wondering, Juniper appeared, leaning languidly against the doorframe with a glass of milk in her hand. She watched him with a sly, knowing smile in her clear eyes.

“Someone’s messaging you,” Shanley said, pointing at the phone, which was still flashing with notifications. He was utterly annoyed. “They’re sending you kisses.”

A kissing sticker? And so many of them. What were their intentions? He didn't like it one bit.

Juniper walked over and glanced at her phone. An image of Celine's gorgeous, blissfully oblivious face instantly popped into her mind.

She hadn't expected Celine to actually keep her promise about their 'secret.' If Warren ever found out his beloved wife was playing him like this, she couldn't even imagine the epic meltdown he'd have.

“What are you smiling about?” Seeing the grin on her face only made Shanley more agitated.

“It’s a woman,” Juniper said, putting down her milk. She traced a finger along his handsome jawline, a soft smile playing on her lips.

“A woman?” Shanley couldn’t bring himself to smile. His face grew even darker. “So now you’re charming women, too?”

“Someone’s jealous,” Juniper murmured, pressing the glass into Shanley’s hand with the air of a queen. “Take this to the kitchen.”

Then she slipped under the covers and tapped open her phone.

The contact name “Little Miss” was displayed brightly on the screen.

Little Miss? Shanley froze for a second before it clicked. This was the friend Juniper had met a few days ago, the one with the mental age of a six-year-old.

Six years old… Shanley’s brow knitted, but a helpless smile touched his lips. Did this mean Juniper could charm men and women, young and old alike?

This wouldn’t do. Too many people had their eyes on her. He would have to keep a much closer watch from now on.
