Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 882

Juniper was in the middle of adjusting her reins, trying to make peace with her horse, when a piercing scream shattered the air.

"Ahhh—"

On one side was a crazed horse carrying a hysterical Yolanda.

"Juniper—"

"Ms. Payne—"

On the other side were the frantic shouts of the guests and crew.

Juniper’s eyes narrowed slightly. Her gaze fell on Yolanda’s “panicked” face, and a knowing smile touched her lips. *With acting skills that bad, she actually thinks she can make it in entertainment?*

"Ms. Payne, get off the horse!" a trainer yelled. He had just stepped away and was now scrambling back, but he tripped and fell in his haste.

"Juniper…" Realizing something was terribly wrong, Jimmie started to run onto the field, but a staff member grabbed him.

"Jimmie, it's too dangerous!" the crewman explained hurriedly. "A spooked horse is incredibly strong. You could get trampled! Our staff is already on it, please don't worry."

"Get off me!" Jimmie shoved the man aside, tossed his phone and jacket to the ground, and sprinted into the arena without a second thought. He didn't care about being trampled. All he knew was that if Juniper got hurt, he would never forgive himself.

"Juniper, can you hear me? Get off the horse!" Miranda's voice was nearly hoarse from shouting, but Juniper didn't move a muscle. *Is her earpiece broken?*

"Miranda, this is bad!" a staffer cried, his heart in his throat as the out-of-control horse closed in on Juniper. It was over. A terrible accident was about to happen.

Meanwhile, online viewers were in an uproar.

Just as everyone was certain Juniper was about to be seriously injured, the girl who had been sitting motionlessly on her horse suddenly yanked the reins hard.

The horse reared back, its neck arching high as it lifted its front hooves. Then, with a leap that stunned everyone, it cleared the nearby fence and took off, galloping freely around the arena. It raced and jumped over obstacles, each movement executed with breathtaking grace and power. It looked like a spectacular, professionally shot scene from an action movie.

"What the—"

The sudden turn of events left everyone on set utterly shocked, their minds reeling. They weren't seeing things, were they? The girl riding with such wild abandon—was this really the same Juniper who, according to Yolanda, “couldn’t ride” and was “traumatized by horses”?

Who said she couldn't ride? She rode like a seasoned champion! The scene felt more like a professional equestrian competition—it was absolutely epic!

"Ahhh—" Yolanda shrieked, her plan in tatters. She hadn’t expected Juniper to dodge so spectacularly, and now her own horse was about to crash into the opposite fence. True fear finally gripped her, and she desperately pulled on the reins, trying to halt the runaway animal.
