Chapter 117 Born Assassin
Robin didn’t hold back on the praise.
Sure enough, Ozzie beamed so hard his eyes nearly disappeared.

He puffed out his little chest, voice still carrying that baby–soft quality. “That’s just what I’m supposed to do! When I grow up, I want to be just like you, Ella!”
“Of course, of course.”
Ella couldn’t help laughing. “You’re going to be incredible. Way stronger than any of us.”
“Oh, wait-”
Something clicked for Robin. “When I came in just now, I couldn’t hear a thing. That has to be someone’s ability, right?”
Her hearing wasn’t quite on Jerome’s level, but it was still far sharper than a normal person’s.
Yet when she’d entered the building, she’d barely picked up a thing–not even a breath.
With this many people packed in here, that was impossible under normal circumstances. The only explanation was that someone had deliberately muffled the room.
“You’re amazing–we hadn’t even said anything, and you already figured it out!”
Terrence looked at her with open admiration.
“That was me.”
A girl stepped forward, looking a little embarrassed. “The ability you’re describing–it’s mine.”
“Oh?”
Robin was intrigued.
She remembered this girl.
When Robin had left the factory and given everyone a choice, this girl had been one of the first to declare–with absolute conviction–that she was coming along.
She hadn’t expected her to awaken an ability in just a few days.
“Your ability is actually very interesting,” Robin said. “It blocks sound?”
The girl was even more shy after hearing that.

Her blush deepened. “Not exactly. It’s not strong enough to fully block sound–it just absorbs as much of it as possible within a certain range.”
“Sound absorption?”
Robin’s eyes lit up.
This girl was a born assassin.
Even if her personal combat skills were lacking, a wide–range sound–absorption ability was extraordinary.
It meant she could mask not just her own movements–but everyone else’s too.
“That’s excellent,” Robin said with a genuine smile.
“That’s a great ability. Don’t feel embarrassed about it. Every ability exists for a reason.”
If her hand–to–hand skills and agility improved, she could become a proper stealth operative.
And even if they didn’t, she’d still be an incredible support asset.
The girl’s face transformed–the self–doubt vanished, and her eyes sparkled. “Really?!”
“I don’t lie about things like this.”
Robin smiled. “Our vehicles are downstairs. Everyone, pack up–we leave immediately.”
The group surged to life. They’d been waiting for days. Finally, hope had arrived.
Since they had been living rough in the factory, they didn’t have much to carry. They were ready in minutes.
Robin and Ella led the group downstairs. The two convoys exchanged introductions, and Robin snagged two extra vehicles from outside the factory.
This trip was a total score.
In the car, Ozzie gazed up at his parents with wide, innocent eyes. “Mommy, where are we going?”
Lily stroked his head, masking the flicker of worry behind a smile. “Somewhere good, sweetie. That nice lady is going to take us there.”
“Oh…”
Ozzie nodded, not quite understanding but perfectly confident. “I know! Anywhere she goes has got to be a good place!”
