Just as the words left her mouth, a sudden scream burst from the other end of the phone.

Robin quickly pulled the phone away from her ear and rubbed it with a small frown.

Seriously? Screaming like that without any warning? What a witch!

After the scream, a rough chewing noise followed. The sound was unsettling. Then the call suddenly went silent.

Robin looked at the phone as it automatically disconnected. She only shrugged.

Sure, she hadn’t given them any money, but she had given them a great gift.

A Day One Apocalypse Experience Packguaranteed to be thrilling and unforgettable.

She smiled to herself.

Robin always kept her promises.

The sky that day was dull and gray. Even though it was morning, the air felt heavy. It pressed down on people’s chests and made breathing uncomfortable.

Robin walked around to the back of the villa. ShangriLa really lived up to its natural retreatname. Behind the house was a large backyard garden. The land had once been divided into neat vegetable plots. Robin happened to have plenty of vegetable seeds. It was the perfect place to plant them.

Unfortunately, three years had passed since anyone last used the garden. The plots were completely abandoned and full of weeds.

Robin pulled a sickle out of her storage space. With quick swings of her arm, she began cutting the weeds. It took her more than three hours to finally clear everything.

She didn’t throw the weeds away. Instead, she piled them neatly to one side. After they dried out, she could burn them and turn them into natural plant ash fertilizer.

After resting for a moment, she grabbed a shovel and began turning the soil.

Something deep inside her seemed to wake up. Maybe it was some kind of hidden farmer instinct. No one disturbed her. And with her body now much stronger than before, she worked quickly. By the afternoon, the entire large field had been loosened and turned over. The soil was soft and ready for planting.

Robin checked the time and suddenly realized it was already past five in the afternoon. She had

been working the whole day without noticing.

While she was busy farming, she hadn’t felt anything. But now a strong wave of hunger hit her all at once.

She pulled out a large, steaming bowl of hot and spicy shrimp ramen from her storage space. The rich aroma rushed out the moment she opened it, making her mouth water.

Robin swallowed and sat down right on the edge of the garden bed. Then she started eating quickly.

Before long, the entire bowl of noodles was gone. She followed it up with two cream puffs to fill the last bit of hunger.

The afternoon weather had become much nicer. Sunlight slipped through the thick leaves above and scattered across her body in patches of light. A soft breeze carried away some of the heat.

For a moment, everything looked peaceful and calm.

But Robin knew better. None of this peace was real.

She went back inside and tossed the bowl into the dishwasher. There was still some time left in the day, so she broke apart a few old wooden furniture pieces and built simple chicken and duck cages.

Then she took the chicks and ducklings out of her storage space and guided them into the new cages. Time inside the storage space didn’t move. Even though several days had passed outside, for the little animals it had only been a brief moment.

Now suddenly in a new place, the fluffy little creatures jumped around excitedly.

Beep! Chickens and ducks detected. Reward: Breeding Ability +5, Health +10!

As the system’s notification faded, the change was immediate. A few chicks that had looked weak and sluggish suddenly became lively. They hopped around the yard with bright energy. One duck that had been losing feathers suddenly grew them all back. In seconds, its body was covered in soft, smooth plumage again.

Thank goodness for the system!

By the time she finished checking on the animals, night had fully settled in.

Since her body had been enhanced, her old workout routine barely challenged her anymore. So tonight she increased the intensity and pushed herself harder, forcing her body toward its limits again and again.

Sweat poured down her forehead. Her muscles ached so badly they felt like they might burst. When she finally completed the last pushup, her tense body gave out all at once. Robin rolled onto her back and lay on the floor, breathing heavily.

The ceiling light looked almost blinding. Sweat slipped into the corners of her eyes, making them sting.
