Chapter 187 Driven Off
Exhished
“But if you don’t show up in a week, as a responsible partner, I’ll have to check if something’s happened to you. At that point, I’ll just have to drop by in person.”
Serena’s eyes widened. She looked like ker little scheme had just been exposed.
The situation had been dire. She had only wanted to use the excuse of cooperation to stall for time and keep everyone safe.
After all, revenge could wait.
But now, with Robin’s move, they had no choice. Whether they wanted to cooperate or not, they still had to cooperate.
Hector clearly realized this as well. He shot Serena a fierce glare.
Serena’s face turned pale.
In the end, it seemed that Robin was the only one who got what she wanted.
“If no one has any objections, let’s leave it at that.
“Looks like it wasn’t easy for you to get out here. Good thing I held back earlier. Otherwise, it would have been a disaster, with our own people fighting each other.”
No way was she going to hurt them. Hector’s team had caught her eye. They were her future resources, and she couldn’t let them get hurt.
That short fight made everyone understand just how wide the gap was between their abilities.
Though Robin had knocked them down earlier, after a short rest, most of them had recovered.
Supporting each other, they staggered to their feet. When they looked at Robin again, there was clear fear and respect in their eyes.
“Commander Clark, if you have nothing else, we have work to do.”
Robin smiled as she showed them out. “I’m really looking forward to our next meeting. I wonder if you feel the same?”
Hector had never suffered such humiliation in his life. He didn’t want to say a single word.
Serena glanced at Robin’s expression and quickly nodded. “Of course, we feel the same as you…”
“That’s best.”
Robin nodded. “Then, until next time?”
Serena braced herself and tugged at Hector’s sleeve. “Until next time…”
They had arrived in force, but now they left in disgrace.

It took all Serena’s strength to drag Hector out of the hospital before his anger exploded.
“Outrageous!”
He kicked the tree next to him so hard he nearly lost control. “This is absolutely outrageous. Completely unacceptable!
“They expect me to swallow this kind of humiliation? That bitch, she actually dared to threaten me!”
Everyone else kept their heads down and stayed silent.
“And Martin and Drake are traitors! They think they’re on top now, don’t they? Where’s their discipline? They’re nothing but trash. An embarrassment!”
Thinking about his son’s death shattered Hector all over again.
That had been his only son.
He’d treasured that boy since he was a child, protected him like he was his crown jewel. Now look at what happened. If he didn’t get revenge, he couldn’t call himself a man.
Lost in his rage, it never even crossed Hector’s mind that his son was his treasure, but other people were just as precious to their parents.
As he ranted and raged, the others exchanged glances and hid every trace of emotion.
Trash? Embarrassment? Those words fit Hector better than anyone.
The truth was, a lot of people at Redwood Military Base hated his style, but what could they do?
Nearly half of Redwood’s staff were military. Orders were absolute. No matter how unhappy they were, as long as they served under him, they had to obey.
“You’re all useless!”
Hector dumped his anger on them. “There are so many of you, and you couldn’t even handle one woman. What’s the point of keeping you around? Go back and take your punishment.”
