The crowd fell into chaos. Someone shouted, voice shaking, “Didn’t you say you were the strong ones? Then what do we do now?
“Vivian.”
Robin didn’t even bother looking at the man. She just turned to Vivian, her face serious.
Vivian nodded hard. Then she closed her eyes.
“What are you doing?!”
David snapped when he saw their weird gestures. “Domingo said you’ve joined our base. Then you should be helping us! Closing your eyes at a time like this, what kind of joke is that?”
But the moment he finished speaking, the sky suddenly went dark.
Everyone looked up and froze.
Above them, something huge had appeared out of nowhere. It looked like a thick, heavy storm cloud pressing down from the sky.
But when they looked closer, their faces turned pale.
That “cloud“… wasn’t a cloud at all. It was made of countless flying creatures.
Sparrows. Crows. Pigeons…
And not just birds.
There were insects too. All kinds of them.
All those creatures had evolved. They were many times bigger than before the apocalypse. The sound of their wings filled the air, wrapping around everyone. It was so loud it made their ears ring. For a moment, people even had the strange feeling that what was flying above them wasn’t birds or insects at all.
It felt like a bomb carrier.
And it still wasn’t over.
Before the shock from the sky could fade, something started moving under their feet.
Everyone instinctively lifted their legs. They saw rats, centipedes, and snakes…
A thick mass of them surged forward, crawling everywhere.
“This… what is this?!” someone stammered.

Domingo seemed to realize something. He snapped his head around and stared at Vivian.
This girl looked so harmless, but she had power like this?

Chapter 268 The Beast Army Awakens
Finished
From what that man said earlier, a large zombie horde was coming.
And there were even a few giant zombies mixed in.
Robin knew what that meant. Giant zombies were already close to Level 4.
The basic zombies weren’t much of a threat anymore.
But there were too many of them. That made things difficult.
So Vivian sent her animal army to clear out as many of the weaker zombies as possible.
Rustle, rustle…
The sound spread everywhere, surrounding them. It made their skin crawl.
The others climbed the watchtower. Sure enough, in the distance, pairs of gray–white eyes lit up one after another. More and more appeared.
All staring at the base. All moving closer.
The zombies came like a swarm of locusts. At a glance, there had to be at least 700 of them.
And Vivian’s animal army surged forward like a crashing wave. The moment the two sides clashed, the world filled with wild roars.
“So many zombies… we’re done… we’re all dead…” A man muttered, his legs giving out as he dropped to his knees.
Since the apocalypse began, he had never seen a horde this big.
David immediately turned to Robin, glaring at her.
“We’ve never seen this many zombies before! Did you bring them here on purpose? What are you trying to do?!”
Even now, he was still trying to blame someone else.
Ella shot him a look like he was an idiot. “If you don’t know how to talk, then don’t. You’re making yourself look dumb.”
“You brat!”
