Chapter 331 No Rush
He said it without a hint of guilt, “I’m not used to riding in the same kar with people I don’t know well. I don’t like leaving my back exposed to strangers.”
Donald quickly added, “Rolf can drive.”
Dane replied, “No.”
Donald was fuming. “What now?”
Dane simply said, “I don’t trust his driving. I’m not handing the wheel to someone I’m not familiar with.”
Donald didn’t know what else to say.
Alright, alright.
It’s obvious he’s turning us down no matter what.
6 on Rolf couldn’t keep a straight face. He forced a bit of
After getting turned down again and again,
irritation and snapped, “Donald, what are you even saying over there?
“I’m not that useless. Stop worrying about me like that!”
Donald mumbled, “Okay…”
Watching their group putter along on those little electric scooter trailing lazily behind everyone else, Jack
felt a deep sense of irritation building in his chest.
Jack spoke up, his tone dripping with sarcasm. “And you call this a partnership? Watching your own partners struggle and not lifting a finger? Working with someone this selfish doesn’t sit right with me. What happens when supplies are on the line? You gonna stab me in the back?”
Dane glanced at him. “Oh? I figured a powerhouse like Vernon Base wouldn’t be short on a few electric scooters. Or did I overestimate you?”
“What did you say?”
His jab backfired and earned him a slap of mockery instead. Jack’s face flushed bright red with anger. “Everyone here’s an adult. We’re almost at the granary. Let’s not waste time arguing over pointless things.
Martin spoke calmly.
He had real battlefield experience, and his presence alone carried weight. In the apocalypse, with his enhanced strength, he was the kind of man people instinctively feared.
The moment he spoke, everyone felt it and held back.
Jack let out a heavy snort, a storm of frustration trapped in his chest with nowhere to go.

Chapter 334 Push
As night fell, a vast stretch of flat land came into view, and one after another, massive cylindrical structures rose ahead.
Is that…
“The granary! We’re here! We finally made it!”
Someone shouted, voice shaking with excitement, and instantly everyone snapped awake.
Their exhaustion vanished as they stared at the towering silos in the distance, faces lit with barely contained excitement.
They had finally made it. Supplies were right in front of them.
The crowd surged forward, stumbling over uneven ground as they rushed toward the granary. Even though they had already agreed on how the supplies would be divided, no one wanted to risk others getting there first and taking more than their share.
Especially those riding the little electric scooters. Some of them had storage–space abilities. Who knew if they’d secretly stash supplies away?
Rolf and the others rushed a few steps as well, but after a short distance, he seemed to realize something. He turned and looked back. Robin and his group were still riding their scooters, trailing calmly at the very back.
Not just them. The people from Redwood Military Base/barely moved either.
Rolf frowned. “You’re not in a hurry?”
“Why would we be?”
Dane smiled as he shot back, “We already agreed on how to split the supplies. I trust everyone here to keep their word. What’s ours will be ours. Otherwise, how are we supposed to keep working together?”
Donald said anxiously, “Mr. Bone, that may be true, but-”
Before he could finish, Rolf waved him off.
That line might fool someone like Donald, but not him. Not someone who had been around long enough to know better.
With that much food right in front of them, and they were still this calm, something was off. And when something felt off, there was always a reason behind it.
Rolf smiled. “If that’s how Mr. Bone sees it, then I won’t rush either.”
Donald blinked, confused. “Wait, Rolf-”
