End Times, Surviving with My Beastly Army novel Chapter 74

Chapter 74 A Gifted Child

UghElla sucked in a breath.

Robin really was ruthless.

Everyone else upstairs was completely stunned.

Robin didn’t change her expression. She pulled out a dagger. In one swift move, she drove it straight up through the zombie’s wideopen mouth.

The blade pierced the roof of its mouth and went straight into its brain. She twisted it hard.

That finally did it. The Level 2 zombie dropped, dead for good.

Robin cracked open its skull and dug around in the sticky mess until she found a tiny crystal, about the size of a fingernail.

Good.

A small grin appeared on her face.

Even though Level 2 zombies were much stronger than normal ones, not every single one of them had a crystal.

With the last threat gone, the people on the sixth floor froze for a second, then burst into cheers and

screams.

Some were even crying. They had fought all night. At one point, they thought they were done for. None of them believed they would actually survive.

They never expected a miracle like this.

Thank you! Thank you!

They rushed down from upstairs, crowding tightly around Robin. In that moment, they didn’t want to think about anything else. They just wanted to enjoy the joy of surviving.

Robin let them cheer for about a minute. Then she raised both hands and motioned for them to stop.

Even though they were still excited, they all quieted down right away.

Dozens of bright, shining eyes stayed fixed on her.

I know you’re happy,Robin said, calm and steady. But keep the noise down. There might still be zombies nearby.

Everyone tensed for a second, then quickly nodded. Got it!

Miss…”

In the silence, a clear, childish voice spoke up. It was the little boy from before. You’re really amazing. I want to be like you when I grow up. Can you teach me?

Chapter 74 A Gifted Child

His parents were startled. They were grateful, yesbut people naturally feared someone this strong.

Sorry, sorry, he’s just a kid. He doesn’t know what he’s saying.

They apologized again and again. Ella stepped forward and whispered something in Robin’s ear

Robin’s eyes lit up slightly. You meanbefore that Level 2 zombie showed up, this kid had already noticed

it?

Ella nodded. Yeah. Pretty strange. At first I thought he was just scared and talking nonsense/ But turns out, there really was another one.

Robin beckoned to the boy.

His parents looked nervous, but the child himself wasn’t afraid. He walked over obediently.

Robin crouched down. What’s your name? How old are you?

The boy looked at her seriously. My name is Oscar Thompson. My nickname is Ozzie. I’m nine.”

Nine

Robin paused, then asked, Alright, Ozzie. Can you tell me how you knew there was another zombie?

Oscar thought for a moment. I don’t know. I just felt like something was over there.

Robin was shocked.

What? This looked like a psychic ability.

At the early stage, psychic users become very sensitive to their surroundings. It’s like their sixth sense gets

stronger.

If physical enhancers are straightforward, and elemental users are rare, then psychic users are the most mysterious and the most dangerous of all.

At first, they may seem weak. They don’t have direct attack power. But later on, some gifted ones can enter other people’s minds and control them.

Some can go even further. They can control zombies.
