End Times, Surviving with My Beastly Army
Chapter 9 Buy, Buy, Buy
Robin felt a spark of excitement.
Finished
For the past few days, her nerves had been stretched tight. Now that most of her supplies were finally ready, she let out a long breath. To celebrate, she drove to a high–end seafood buffet she had never dared to try before. It cost 2,000 dollars per person, but tonight she didn’t care.
And the place really lived up to the hype. The food was delicious, and everything was incredibly fresh.
There were all kinds of seafood.
Robin didn’t hold back. While she ate, she quietly slipped food into her storage space. Plate after plate stacked up. By the end, the waiters looked a little uneasy as they cleared her table again and again. Only after she was completely stuffed did Robin finally leave, patting her full stomach with satisfaction.
But that meal sparked a new idea. She turned the wheel and drove straight to the largest mall in the city. Right outside the mall, a busy night market was in full swing. The moment she arrived, Robin started shopping again. Cajun crawfish, garlic butter chicken wings, BBQ ribs, quesadillas, fried cheese curds, barbecue skewers, corn dogs, savory crepes, funnel cakes, and
more.
Buy. Buy. Buy.
She bought everything.
After clearing out the night market, Robin went into the mall and headed straight for the food
court.
Donuts, popcorn chicken, bubble tea, clam chowder cups, ice cream, cupcakes, buffalo wings, loaded fries, and tacos.
If she saw it, she bought it. And not just one or two. She ordered at least 100 servings of each. She was outrageously rich.
When she passed a barbecue restaurant inside the mall, she even went in and bought more than 2,000 packages of spice mix.
After all, even during the apocalypse, you still needed barbecue.
Once she finished shopping, Robin headed down toward the lower level. When she noticed the supermarket and appliance stores, she suddenly paused.
Right. She had almost forgotten about appliances.

Soon she would be living in a three–story villa. Cleaning a place that big would be exhausting. There was no way she planned to handle all of that herself.
So she walked straight into the appliance section. She ordered 5 large refrigerators, 15 robot vacuum cleaners, 5 regular vacuum cleaners, 3 washing machines, 20 portable cooktops, 5 dishwashers, and 5 pressure cookers.
All the food deliveries were sent to her apartment. The appliances were shipped directly to the Southvale warehouse.
The warehouse was too far away. If the food was delivered there, it would be cold by the time it arrived.
By the end of this shopping spree, Robin had spent almost 370,000 dollars. Money really did disappear fast.
As soon as she got home, delivery after delivery began arriving. While filling large water barrels around the house, Robin simply left the door open so the drivers could come and go. There was so much food that the deliveries continued late into the night. But Robin wasn’t tired at all. Her eyes were bright.
Almost everything she needed was ready now. At last, she didn’t have to go out every day to hunt for supplies.
All that was left was to wait for the villa renovations and security upgrades to finish. Then she would clear out the warehouse one final time and move into Shangri–La. After that, she could finally settle in and ride out the apocalypse in peace.
Three days passed in the blink of an eye. Then the security company finally called. All the custom equipment she had ordered had arrived.
Robin had just finished her workout when her phone rang. She pushed herself up from the floor at once. “Send everything to the same address as before. I’ll head there now.”
As soon as she reached the warehouse, she cleared out the space. By the time she was done, the security company had arrived.
Two large trucks rolled in, both packed with equipment. Robin’s eyes lit up at the sight. In a good mood, she handed each worker a 200 dollar tip as thanks. After carefully checking the shipment and confirming nothing was missing, she waited until the workers drove away. The moment they were gone, she stored every piece of equipment into her storage space.
Not long after, the sales agent from the security company sent her a friendly message. Robin understood the hint right away. She quickly paid the remaining balance.
Altogether, the renovation materials had cost more than 3 million dollars.

Still, the price made sense. When she had chosen the materials, she picked the highest–quality ones available. Some of the nano–reinforced panels were incredibly expensive. They were even used in aerospace construction, so the price matched the level of quality.
As soon as the payment went through, her storage space expanded again. This time, it grew by more than 32,000 square feet. The space stretched so far that its edges were almost impossible to see. Even with all the equipment inside, there was still plenty of room.
Just then, a notification popped up. “Beep! Big Spender achievement unlocked. Reward: X1 lucky draw.”
Robin’s eyes widened with surprise. After putting away all the supplies, she returned to her apartment and swept everything inside into storage space as well.
Once that was done, she drove out of the underground parking garage. As she approached the exit of the neighborhood, something caught her eye. Two familiar figures.
Noah and Zelda.
The two of them were running toward her in a panic, while several tough–looking men chased close behind.
Robin quickly figured out what was going on. It must be time for them to repay their loans. Looks like the debt collectors had come looking for them.
She calmly pulled her car to the side of the road and rolled down the window. “What’s going on?” she asked with a cheerful smile. “Why are you running like that?”
The moment Noah and Zelda saw her, their eyes lit up like they had spotted their last chance. They rushed toward the car. “Robin! Let us in! Hurry, open the door!”
“What happened?” Robin asked, sounding concerned.
But she made no move to unlock the door.
Noah’s eyes were already red with panic. “There’s no time to explain! Robin, just let us in!”
Robin glanced behind them. “Oh, are those guys chasing you?” she asked lightly. “What had done?”

Bang! Zelda suddenly kicked the car door hard. Her face twisted with rage. “Open the door and let us in! Are you deaf?!”
She kicked my car?
Robin frowned. Her temper flared up instantly.

Ignoring Noah and Zelda as they clung to the door, she stepped hard on the gas. The car shot forward. If the two of them hadn’t let go in time, they might have been dragged straight under the wheels.
Behind her, Zelda shouted in shock and anger.
“Robin, are you out of your mind?! What’s wrong with you?!”
Robin stopped the car again and leaned out the window, grinning. “Debt collectors after you?”
Then she turned and called out to the group of tough–looking men behind them. “These two probably do this on purpose and refuse to pay! They even bought a three–bedroom condo downtown just last week!”
The men’s faces darkened the moment they heard that.
They hated people who had money but refused to settle their debts.
Noah and Zelda were stunned.
Zelda frowned. “How did she know they were debt collectors?”
Noah’s eyes widened as he suddenly realized something. “Wait, could it be?”
