Escape from Mr. Whitman (Emma and Theodore) novel Chapter 508

"What nonsense are you spouting?" Sebastian's voice suddenly cut in from behind Emma.

Faith flinched when she saw him. "I'm not lying! Not a single word! How many times these last few days did I say we should just go back? And you kept saying no! That we had to wait until the last possible second! You said Emma couldn't do it without us and that she'd come begging!"

"Is that what I said? Word for word?" Sebastian's face was a pale shade of green.

"Your actual words were even worse!" Faith shot back, her fear replaced by anger. "Right before the show started, you were gloating, saying it would either be postponed, canceled, or a total disaster! Yes, you were hoping the show would fail, just to prove how important you are!"

"You…" Sebastian was seething with rage.

Faith quickly ducked behind Emma, and in an instant, Allen and the three other bodyguards formed a protective circle around them.

Sebastian threw his hands up in surrender. "I wasn't going to touch her. Why would I do that? Emma, do you really think I'm the kind of man who would hit a woman?"

"You're not," Emma said, taking a deep breath. "But, Sebastian, this is over. From now on, this will be handled according to the contracts we signed with the troupe. Allen."

"Yes, Miss Bennett." Allen stepped forward.

"Call our lawyer. Have them handle the rest."

"Understood."

Sebastian stared at her in horror. "What does that mean? You're getting a lawyer to handle our relationship?"

"No," Emma said coolly. "Our relationship doesn't even require a lawyer. The lawyer is for a breach of contract, to handle this according to the agreement you signed with the troupe."

Chapter 508 2

Contracts were contracts. They would be enforced, no matter how talented Faith was.

As the saying goes, you can't teach someone a lesson with words; they have to learn it from experience.

Hopefully, this would help Faith figure out what she truly wanted in life.

Chapter 508 3

"I will, Emma! I'll work harder than ever!" Faith called after her.

"Emma, what about me?" Sebastian shouted. "What about our personal relationship?"
