“You put your hands on me first,” Arden snapped. “So what if I pushed you back?”

Lacey, seeing no one else was around, grew bolder. She stepped closer, her expression turning sharp. “Dorian belongs to me. Arden, stay the hell away from him.”

Of course it’s about Dorian.

Arden rolled her eyes. Not even worth a reply. She turned to leave.

But Lacey suddenly slammed the restroom door shut. “You think you can just walk away?”

Arden grabbed the handle. “Are you out of your mind? This is the Vale estate.”

Lacey’s voice rose. “He doesn’t believe me because of you, doesn’t he?”

Then she lunged forward and tried to yank Arden by the hair.

Arden dodged, but Lacey caught her, grabbing a fistful of her hair. Arden cried out in pain–but that was it. She was done playing nice.

She spun around, grabbed Lacey’s hair with both hands, and yanked, hard.

Arden had the height advantage–and adrenaline. She threw Lacey off balance, pushed her against the sink, and slapped her. Twice.

Lacey yelped, but Arden didn’t let up. She sat on top of her, pinning her down, hair wrapped in both fists.

“This one’s for pretending to cry all the time,” Arden hissed. “And this one’s for trying to use Dorian.”

She didn’t care how she looked right now. Lacey had crossed too many lines.

Just as Lacey gathered her strength to fight back, the heels clicked against the marble floor.

Both girls turned at the same time. Vivienne.

She stood with her arms crossed, smiling like a cat watching mice tear each other apart. “Well, this is quite the scene. A catfight in the ladies‘ room?”

Lacey immediately called out, “Help me! My bag–it’s got the stuff!”

Arden’s eyes snapped to her, “What are you two planning?!”

Vivienne’s smile turned venomous. “What do you think, Arden? You ruined me. If I can’t have him, then you sure as hell won’t either.”

Her gorgeous face twisted into something monstrous.

She stepped forward. Arden might’ve had the upper hand a second ago–but now it was two against one. Her advantage vanished.

Outside the restroom, Colton and Kade waited nearby, keeping watch as ordered by Dorian.

But Colton checked his watch and frowned. “She’s been in there too long.”

Kade checked too. “I’ll text him.”

He started typing out a message to Dorian. Meanwhile, Isla had also noticed Arden had been gone awhile. She turned to Ruby and Celine. “I’m going to check on her.”

Celine was prepping for her piano performance. Ruby stayed with her as Isla left. “Don’t take too long,” Ruby reminded her. “She’s got a song coming up.”

“I’ll be quick,” Isla promised, and hurried off.

She reached the restroom door–locked. Her instincts kicked in. Something wasn’t right.

She kicked at the door. Hard. Just then, Alice arrived.

Her people had told her Lacey had followed Arden into the restroom. That had raised immediate red flags. And Alice remembered how Lacey had tried to frame Arden at the Sinclair house.

Meanwhile, Dorian got Kade’s text. He’d been drinking with Cassian and Ares when the message came through.

The moment he read it, his eyes darkened. He stood up without a word. Cassian caught the shift in his expression and immediately asked, “What’s going on?”

“Nothing,” Dorian said flatly. “You guys stay here.”

He turned to Ares. “Call Ruby. Tell her to check the restroom.”

Ares didn’t ask questions. He stubbed out his cigarette and stood as well. “Something happen?”

“Arden’s been in there too long,” Dorian replied. “Just have her take a look.”

“Got it. I’ll call now.”

Ares pulled out his phone and made the call. Not far away, Caleb had overheard his sister’s name. Alarmed, he stood up too and quickly followed Dorian out.

The moment she saw Isla, she rushed up. “What’s going on?”
