Cassian slid over quietly. “What’s going on?” he asked. “You seriously followed Arden here?”

Dorian shot him a look. “What are you talking about? I’m just hungry”

“With your money, you could’ve hired eight nannies. Why’re you pulling all–nighters like some broke single dad?

Dorian let him ramble, sipping water in silence. When Cassian finally stopped, he said, “Do you ever shut up?”

“Me? You’re the one who kept your baby a secret. If Celine hadn’t said anything, we’d still be clueless. You really buried that one deep. I thought you invited me out to meet the woman.”

Dorian slid the menu over. “Order what you want. My treat.”

Cassian browsed the menu and went straight for the specials. “So… how’s it feel being a dad?”

Cassian raised his hands. “Okay, okay. Just saying, if she was that far along with your kid, you’d never let her get an abortion, right?”

Dorian was speechless. “She’s not pregnant. It’s a guy. One of my bodyguards. Disguise.”

Cassian looked stunned. “A guy? You’re into men now? Damn, I’ve been your friend for years and never saw that coming. You–you’re not into me, are you?”

He half–stood, visibly nervous. Dorian looked at him like he was trash. “You’re not my type. I said it was a setup. The ‘pregnant woman‘ was fake.”

Cassian caught on fast. “You staged the whole thing? Just to make Arden divorce you?”

“No wonder she threw coffee on you. You had it coming.”
