She clenched her fists.

They were already divorced. She had promised herself to stay far away from him, never to get caught up again.

She took a deep breath, forcing herself to let it go.

Noah noticed the way her lashes trembled when she closed her eyes to breathe. He asked, “Arden, you want to see him off? I’ve got time. I can take you home first, then come back for him.”

Noah noticed her clenched fists. He turned to Cassian and said, “I’ll call a driver for Mr. Vale. He’s injured He should get to a hospital.”
