Evelyn turned around to see a handsome, clean-cut young man walking in, dressed in a sharp, light gray casual suit.

It was Julian Hewitt—the exact same guy she had bumped into at the Starlight Lounge.

"Good afternoon, Sir. Xavier." Julian greeted them politely before his gaze landed on Evelyn. As soon as he recognized her, his eyes lit up.

She was wearing a flowing lavender dress, her hair styled in soft, cascading waves over her shoulders. Sitting quietly by the window, the sunlight spilling across her face gave her a radiant glow. In that moment, she looked like an absolute vision.

"Evelyn," Julian smiled brightly at her. "It's so great to see you today."

Karl looked surprised. "Julian, you two know each other?"

"We crossed paths briefly at the Starlight Lounge. I had no idea she was your honorary granddaughter... or that she'd be the one you were setting me up with. I feel incredibly lucky."

Karl raised an eyebrow. "Sounds like you're quite happy with my Evelyn."

A faint flush crept up Julian's neck, and he replied earnestly, "She's amazing. How could anyone not be happy?"

Karl shot a smug glance at Xavier. Seeing his grandson casually browsing the menu like none of this mattered made his blood boil.

He doubled down. "You have great taste, Julian. Not only is she gorgeous, but she has a wonderful heart. And more importantly, she's a top graduate from Sterling University's design program."

"Wow, Sterling University? If I had known, I wouldn't have studied abroad. I would've applied there instead," Julian said, sounding genuinely regretful.

"Well, it's not too late to get to know each other now. You're both at the perfect age."

Julian completely agreed, his eyes full of warmth as he looked at her.

Evelyn felt like she was sitting on pins and needles. She wanted to vanish into thin air.

Just as she felt she couldn't take another second of it, Xavier finally spoke up. "Grandpa, stop messing around. Julian and Evelyn aren't a match."
