Chapter 130 Marcus’s Sister
Marcus suddenly rushed out after them. He had just come out of surgery and was still weak, panting heavily as he braced himself against the doorframe.
“Hey! Why are you out here? You shouldn’t be walking around yet…”
Xavier had seen plenty of patients ignore medical advice before. Instinctively, he stepped forward to stop him.
“My sister just sent me a message!” Marcus thrust his phone toward Iris Noir. “She never talks like this! Something must have happened to her!”
Iris took the phone and saw that the message had been sent just a minute earlier.
<blockquote>[Bro, I’m a little short on money lately. Transfer me a hundred thousand.]</ blockquote>
The nurses helped Marcus back into his hospital room, but he kept shouting from inside.
“Miss Noir! Check our previous chat history! My sister never uses punctuation when she texts!”
Iris scrolled through the earlier messages and found that he was right. Stella never used punctuation. Instead, she separated pauses with spaces and liked adding cute little emoji to her
messages.
She handed the phone back and reassured him.
“Don’t worry. I’ll head to Lystra tonight and find her for you.”
“My parents passed away years ago. She’s the only family I have left…” His voice trembled with desperation. “Please, Miss Noir. Bring her back safely.”
“I’ll do everything I can.”
After leaving the hospital, Iris immediately called Bella and asked her to book two plane tickets. She planned to find Stella in Lystra first before continuing with the business trip as originally scheduled.
Fortunately, most of Venus’s affairs had already been wrapped up. With Lilian Summer and Yonki Saunders keeping an eye on Mr. Nick, she could leave on this trip without worrying.
She and Bella arrived in Lystra at five o’clock the next morning.
After landing, they headed straight to the hotel they’d already booked. On the way there, Iris texted Richard and Eleanor to let them know she’d arrived safely.

“President Zero, it’s still early. Would you like to rest at the hotel for a while first?” Bella asked.
Sitting in the back seat, Iris replied to messages on her phone without looking up.
“Sure.”
Bella couldn’t help feeling puzzled.
Had she still not earned President Zero’s full trust? She wasn’t even allowed to handle booking flights or checking into the hotel.
Could it be… that President Zero simply didn’t like the photo on her ID?
The entire trip felt strange.
The infamous workaholic had insisted on coming here to find someone first, yet now that they had arrived, she wanted to rest instead.
The more Bella thought about it, the sleepier she became. Before long, she dozed off in the car.
The moment Iris closed the door to her hotel room, she immediately took her laptop out of her suitcase.
She had no intention of going directly to the address Marcus had given her.
If Stella had already sent that kind of message, there was a good chance she was no longer living there. More likely, she’d been taken somewhere hidden.
Lystra’s underworld was just as powerful as its legitimate side. The forces operating in the shadows were deeply intertwined. Searching through official channels alone wouldn’t get her anywhere.
The website finished loading.
Straightening in her chair, Iris quickly created a digital composite portrait based on Stella’s features and uploaded it instead of using the photo Marcus had provided.
Beep! Beep!
A notification sounded.
Several people had already responded to her post.
One person listed several places Stella frequently visited.
Another provided her home address.

The third demanded a hefty payment, claiming to know a major secret about the woman in the sketch.
Iris promptly paid the first two for their information before opening a private chat with the third.
[Stella got herself into serious trouble and is hiding.]
The other person typed astonishingly fast, sending the message within two seconds.
[Where is she hiding?] Iris asked.
The typing indicator appeared again.
Then a payment request popped onto her screen.
[Two hundred thousand. I’ll tell you where she is.]
Not wanting to waste any time, Iris immediately transferred half the amount as a deposit.
[Nice doing business! She’s at Ruins Bar in North City right now!]
