For some reason, the more Vincent looked at the young woman, the more familiar she felt.

It was an indescribable feeling.

If my little sister is ever found… she’d probably be about this age too.”

Olivia chased after Vincent all the way onto the deck.

To her surprise, he was talking to Iris Noir. And… he actually looked happy.

“Iris Noir…”

Her local guide didn’t catch what she’d said, but Olivia’s expression startled her.

“What’s wrong, Miss Sutton?”

“Nothing.”

Only then did Olivia realize she’d lost her composure.

Several nearby passengers were already looking at her curiously.

She quickly smoothed her hair and forced her expression back to normal.

“Are you alright?”

A glass of water appeared in front of her.

Olivia turned and saw a curly–haired young woman holding it out.

The two had chatted briefly before boarding the ship. She was the vice mayor’s daughter.

“I’m fine.” Olivia smiled. “Your earrings… they’re beautiful.”

The young woman froze for a moment before smiling proudly.

“They are. My dad gave them to me as my coming–of–age present.”

Her father’s position didn’t pay particularly well if he stayed honest. This set of jewelry was already one of the finest possessions she owned.

Noticing that Vincent had been holding a jewelry magazine the entire time, Iris asked, “Shopping for jewelry?”

He nodded. “I have a younger sister in her early twenty. Do you have any recommendations?”

“The three sets on pages eight and sixteen are all good choices.”

As Vincent flipped through the magazine, a thought suddenly crossed her mind.

“Are you only buying jewelry? Have you considered makeup too?”

Bella blinked in amazement.

‘Ms. Iris’s business instincts are unbelievable. She’s supposed to be relaxing on vacation, yet she’s still trying to land a customer.‘

“Sure.”

Vincent had originally intended to buy only the most valuable gifts. Makeup had been too inexpensive to consider. But if his sister could use it, buying some wouldn’t hurt.

Seeing him agree, Iris turned to Bella.

“My bag.”

Inside was the new eyeshadow palette that Lilian Summer and the team had worked overtime to finish.

Bella set Iris’s bag down and handed it over.

She had been carrying it for her ever since they started taking pictures.

Iris unzipped the bag, intending to take out a sample palette.

Before her hand reached it, however, her fingers brushed against something cold.

She pulled it out.

It was a pair of gold diamond earrings.

She recognized them instantly.

Buccellati.

Vincent looked puzzled.

“I thought you were getting makeup. Why did you pull out earrings?”

Iris looked toward Bella. “Did anyone come near my bag while you were holding it?”

Bella looked completely confused. “When everyone rushed over to watch the fireworks, lots of people walked past us.”

“These aren’t mine.” Iris reached into the bag again and found the matching earring. “Take them to the staff. Tell them they were found. Hurry.”

The moment she’d seen the earrings, she’d already figured out what had happened. She just didn’t know who was behind it yet.

“My earrings are gone!”

A horrified cry suddenly echoed from nearby.

Another woman hurriedly tried to comfort her.

“Don’t panic. The thief has to still be on the ship!”

Iris looked toward the voices.

She saw Olivia supporting the vice mayor’s daughter, Tasha Bell, while quietly comforting her.

Now she knew exactly who had done it.

Security guards had already begun searching everyone’s bags in the area where they’d all been gathered.

Bella sucked in a sharp breath.

“Those… couldn’t be her earrings, could they?”

“It looks like someone framed you.” Vincent spoke calmly. “Do you need help?”

Iris looked at him curiously. “You think I was framed?”

Most people would instinctively assume the person holding the stolen item was the thief.

Vincent pointed at the earrings she was wearing.

“Why would someone wearing Graff earrings steal a pair from Buccellati?”

“They’re definitely looking for somewhere to hide the earrings.‘
