Chapter 304 Misunderstand
The girl had large, striking eyes that stared directly at Iris.
Professor Park looked surprised.
“What? You two know each other?”
She hadn’t expected this gifted young violinist to be acquainted with Iris as well.
Iris lowered her gaze and looked at the girl.

After studying her for a moment, the girl brushed her bangs aside, carefully examined Iris from head to toe, and then let the hair fall back into place.
“Have we met before?” Iris asked.
The girl took a few steps back and returned to her seat.
“No.” She shook her head. “I don’t know you. I mistook you for someone else.”
Then she added quietly, “You look a lot like a friend of mine.”
Professor Park quickly smoothed things over.
“That’s alright. Even if you aren’t friends now, you’ll probably become friends soon enough.
She smiled.
“You’ll both be training together here for the next month.”
Then she began introducing them.
“This is Iris Noir, our newest member.” Turning to the other girl, she continued, “This is Celeste Hayes. She’s a violinist who recently returned from studying abroad.”
Iris looked at Celeste. “If she’s here, why wasn’t she selected for the exchange program in the United States?”
The moment the exchange program was mentioned, Celeste’s expression visibly darkened.
“She doesn’t like going to the United States,” Professor Park explained. “She seems to have experienced something unpleasant while she was overseas. We’ve asked about it before, but she never wants to talk about it.”
The assistant beside Professor Park added,
“To be honest, it’s not just the exchange program. She doesn’t get along particularly well with the other members either.”
“Right now, the only people she’s comfortable around are Professor Park and Mr. Liam.”

training together for a while. If there are any problems, we’ll separate your practice schedules layer.
“No need.” Celeste suddenly spoke up. “I can train with her.”
Everyone turned toward her.
She looked at Iris and said matter–of–factly,
“I liked her the moment I saw her. I feel like we get along.”
“That’s wonderful!” Professor Park immediately handed each of them a training schedule. “This is today’s plan. The workload isn’t too heavy. Once you’ve completed everything, you’re free to get dinner. There’s a cafeteria downstairs with some excellent food.”
Then she looked toward Iris.
“Would you like me to ask Ethan to show you around?”
“No thanks.” Iris refused without hesitation. “I can manage on my own.”
Professor Park still had work to attend to, so after giving a few final instructions, she left.
Iris glanced toward Celeste.
The other girl had already returned to her seat and resumed practicing.
Iris couldn’t remember her at all.
She had no recollection of any significant interaction between them.
Either Celeste had genuinely mistaken her for someone else-
Or she had appeared so rarely in Iris’s life that she had blended into the background like any other
stranger.
Iris had an excellent memory, but she couldn’t remember every single person she’d ever crossed paths with.
The rest of the afternoon passed quietly.
Celeste didn’t attempt to start a conversation, and both of them focused on their respective training plans.
Occasionally, during breaks, Iris listened to Celeste practice.
To her surprise, Celeste was playing many of the same pieces listed in her own training materials.
And she played them flawlessly.
By the time they finished all of their assigned exercises, dusk had already fallen.

Celeste completed her work first and stood up.
“I going downstairs for dinner.” She glanced toward Iris. “Want to come?”
Iris still had several pages left to read. “You go ahead. I’ll come down later.”
“Alright.” Celeste walked toward the door.
The moment she opened it, she found three girls standing outside.
The girls visibly froze when they got a good look at her face.
This was the girl Ethan liked?
She looked more like a gloomy shut–in than some irresistible beauty.
The curly–haired girl standing in the middle spoke first.
“Are you Iris?”
“No.” Celeste pointed into the room. “She is.”
The girls looked inside.
Iris was sitting at a table making notes in the margins of a book.
Hearing her name, she glanced up briefly.
Celeste turned toward her. “Do you know them?”

“No.” Iris shook her head. “This is my first day here. Aside from Ethan Vaughn and the professors. I don’t know anyone.”
