Taking the opportunity, Iris stood up.
“A little crowded, yeah.” She picked up her tray “So I’m going to find another place to eat. Enjoy yourselves.”
She didn’t sit with Celeste either. Instead, she found a table by herself.

Ethan immediately looked like he wanted to carry his tray over and join her, but Zara stopped him.
“Ethan, can’t you tell she wants to eat alone?” She smiled. “Stay here with us. It’s more lively when there are more people around.”
Iris ate quickly and didn’t eat much.
Professor Park had been right–the food in the association cafeteria was surprisingly good.
After finishing her meal, she returned her tray and prepared to leave.
The moment Ethan saw her getting up, he stood as well and followed after her.
Zara called his name several times, but he ignored her completely.
One of the girls leaned closer.
“Boss, weren’t we supposed to make things difficult for her? Why are you suddenly trying to be friends with her?”
Zara shoved a large forkful of spaghetti into her mouth and snorted.
“If Ethan likes her and I start causing trouble right now, he’ll end up hating me too.”
“That’s obviously a terrible strategy.” She swallowed and continued, “It’s smarter to become friends with Iris first and figure out what’s really going on between them. Once I understand her better, then I’ll decide what to do.”
One of her followers pointed toward Celeste, who was eating alone several tables away.
“What about her? Did she hear us earlier? Should we go warn her not to say anything?”
Zara glanced over dismissively.
“No need. She likes being alone and doesn’t seem close to Iris anyway. We can ignore her.”
Celeste had been at the association longer than Iris and had always kept to herself.
Everyone else trained in groups.
Only Celeste remained alone.

Combined with the fact that she spent most of her time on the top floor and rarely spoke to anyone, very
w people approached her.
After returning to the practice room, Iris gathered her things and left the Violin Association.
The area wasn’t particularly remote, so finding a taxi wasn’t difficult.
Ares had a meeting that day and had originally wanted Julian to pick her up.
She had refused.
Ethan hurried downstairs after her, intending to share a ride again.
Unfortunately, Iris moved faster.
By the time he reached the building entrance, she had already climbed into a taxi.
Bang.
The door closed.
The car drove away right in front of him.
Ethan quickly hailed another taxi and jumped inside.
If they arrived at the university around the same time, maybe he’d get another chance to talk to her.
The two cars reached Capital University one after another.
Iris got out first and headed toward campus.
A few moments later, Ethan climbed out of his taxi and hurried after her.
He didn’t intend to call her name.
His plan was simply to catch up and pretend they had run into each other again.
Just as he was about to reach her-
A soft voice suddenly called from behind him.
“Ethan, I waited outside your dorm all morning today, but I never saw you.”
Ethan stopped.
A helpless expression appeared on his face.
Lately, he had become deeply disappointed in Olivia.
He no longer wanted to drag things out.

Unfortunately, Olivia hadn’t realized that.
She immediately ran over and wrapped herself around his arm.
Following the direction he had been walking, she spotted a familiar figure ahead.
“Iris!”
Hearing her name, Iris instinctively glanced back.
The moment she saw Olivia, she turned away again and walked even faster.
Olivia tightened her grip on Ethan’s arm. “Were you trying to catch up to her just now?”
“This has nothing to do with you anymore.” Ethan tried to pull away.
But Olivia only grabbed tighter.
The instant she had stopped him, she had seen the way he looked at Iris.
She knew that look.
It was the same admiration he had once directed toward her when he first started pursuing her.
A horrible realization struck.
