Grace’s POV:

Nathan saw me and immediately hid behind Aaliyah. He was my grandson. But seeing how timid and spineless Aaliyah had raised him, with none of a Thorn Pack Alpha’s bearing, made my heart sink.
“Grace, is something wrong?” Aaliyah wore a fake smile, but her eyes were as cold as steel.
I snorted, “Who makes noise when their elder is resting and steals their tonic? Aaliyah, you’re not even pretending anymore?”
“I’m sorry. I tried to be quiet. How was I still too loud for you? But Nathan is at home. Didn’t you say I wasn’t allowed to take him out in public during this time? So we can only play inside. As for the Moonlight Nectar, it was just sitting in the kitchen. No one told me it was yours. I drank it without knowing. Besides, Landon said it was my home and asked me to make myself comfortable. It’s just some drink. You’re not that petty, are you?” Aaliyah immediately retorted, her words sharp and precise despite her soft tone.
I had only scolded her briefly, and she fired back with a whole paragraph. She was openly challenging my authority. She was just an Omega who had sex with my son using cheap tricks.
“Aaliyah, you certainly have a silver tongue. Are you deliberately trying to get back at me? You just want to stir up trouble in this house, don’t you?” I walked up to her, releasing stronger oppressive pheromones, and ordered the maid to pull Nathan away from Aaliyah.
Before, this would have made Aaliyah tremble in fear. But now, even under my powerful werewolf pressure, she didn’t back down. Her smile even widened. “Grace, you misunderstand me. I’m Landon’s mate, a member of Thorn Pack. I only want what’s best for the pack and for you.”
The moment she finished speaking, I’d had enough. I slapped her hard across the face. The sharp sound echoed in the living room. Her cheek instantly reddened and swelled, showing clear finger marks.
“Bad woman! How dare you hit my mommy!” Nathan saw Aaliyah get hit and immediately started struggling, screaming at me like an angry wolf.
“You ill-mannered brat! Lock him in his room to reflect on his behavior!” I was furious. This pup was completely corrupted by Aaliyah. “Your mother is no good, and she’s raised you to be just as rude,” I shouted angrily, not caring about Aaliyah’s expression.
The maid, who obeyed me, quickly covered Nathan’s mouth and prepared to drag him away.
“Who dares touch my son?” Aaliyah shouted sharply, actually threatening my maid. “I am also the lady of this house! Bully Nathan, and I’ll make sure you collect your final paycheck and leave right now!” Her shrill voice was terrifying. The maid immediately looked at me in a panic.
I found it laughable. Lady of the house? She did not deserve the title. “Aaliyah, since when is Thorn Pack yours to command? Take him away,” I ordered.
“Then I’ll call Landon and Benjamin right now!” Aaliyah shouted.
Her words made me freeze. Benjamin had repeatedly warned me to give in to Aaliyah at home for now, as

her relationship with Landon couldn’t be made public yet. But letting Aaliyah walk all over me like this? How could I swallow this anger?
Louisa’s POV:
The noise from downstairs grew louder. I couldn’t stay out of it any longer.
Leaning on two maids for support, I made my way downstairs and slowly walked over to Nathan.
Nathan was staring straight at Grace, his big eyes red-rimmed. He trembled with anger, his nose sniffling as if about to cry.
“Nathan, you must be polite to your elders from now on. You must call her Grandma when you see her, and call me Great-Grandma. Don’t be so willful,” I said gently, instructing him, and signaled for the maid to release him.
But Nathan immediately turned his head away, ran straight behind Aaliyah, and stayed silent. He didn’t acknowledge my words.
Aaliyah’s expression softened slightly when she saw me.
She said, “Louisa, it seems we’ve disturbed you. Nothing much happened today. But Grace seems constantly dissatisfied with me. If things continue like this, it will be very difficult for me to stay in this house.”
A flash of coldness appeared in her eyes. She turned her face, deliberately showing off the slap mark.
