Chapter 254 Make Me Stop
Leonardo’s POV:

The external wounds weren’t the real concern. After checking my temperature and doing an ultrasound, the doctor confirmed my internal injuries were also improving. The hematoma on my spleen was gradually shrinking.
“However, Mr. Sanchez, you have a minor rib fracture. You really should rest in bed as much as possible and avoid any strenuous activity.” The doctor seemed to have realized something. He gave Natalie a meaningful look as he made his suggestion.
S
Natalie’s face paled. I knew she was blaming herself.
I nodded in response. Glancing at Natalie out of the corner of my eye, I gently stroked the back of her hand to tell her it was okay.
As soon as the examination was over, I practically ushered everyone out. I was afraid the more the doctor said, the more Natalie would worry. But Natalie still wasn’t satisfied. She followed them out to talk with Fiona and Miranda for a long time.
My condition was stable for now, but a full recovery would take a long time. Returning home as soon as possible was the best option. The main territory of Silver-Maned Pack had the best medical facilities and doctors who knew my constitution well.
After hearing this, Miranda immediately ordered arrangements for a helicopter early the next morning to fly straight home.
Fiona also made a video call to my grandpa, Roger, to update him. Roger was frantic with worry and wanted to come, but Fiona thought too many people would just get in the way. That was why she had only brought Miranda.
Roger saw me on the video call, but he was afraid of disturbing my rest and only spoke briefly.
Half his concern was for Natalie. “You need to get better quickly, or Natalie will worry herself sick. Look at her. She came all this way, and her pretty face looks so tired now. Our future Luna shouldn’t be exhausted.
Miranda’s POV:
Leonardo looked exhausted, but he still managed a light laugh. “You’re right. I need to recover quickly.”
Usually, when the elders teased him about marriage or a future Luna, Leonardo would just brush it off. But now that he really had Natalie as his bonded mate, his attitude had completely changed.
It was true. Once a mate was confirmed, everything changed. He was just like his grandfather-deep down a hopeless romantic, a lovesick werewolf.
But Leonardo’s voice was still weak. The softer he sounded, the more it tugged at my heartstrings.
Seeing how strong the bond was between Leonardo and Natalie moved me to tears. I discreetly wiped my eyes and took Fiona’s hand. “Let’s go. We’ll leave Natalie here with him. A mate’s company is better than

any medicine.”

Fiona nodded, finally able to relax a little. The two of them needed each other right now. No one else’s care could compare to the connection between bonded mates.
“Natalie, we’ll leave him in your care then,” Fiona said kindly.
“Please don’t say that. Taking care of Leonardo isn’t a burden at all,” Natalie replied earnestly.
“If you need anything, just tell Aaron, or call Miranda or me. We’re always here. And don’t overwork yourself. Get some rest soon.” Fiona gave a few more instructions and glanced at Leonardo.
Leonardo didn’t speak, but his dry lips curved upward slightly in thanks.
Fiona and I gave them some privacy. Leonardo clearly appreciated it. He looked at me, and his eyes held clear gratitude. He was thanking me for always supporting his relationship with Natalie.
Leonardo’s POV:
Once everyone left, the room was quiet again.
When Natalie started to get up, I instinctively reached for her hand.
Natalie couldn’t help but smile, “I’m not leaving. I’m just going to get you something to eat. You need to take your medicine after.”
I reluctantly let go. Even though my mate was right here, I still wanted her by my side every second.
That old, familiar, unhealthy anxiety buried deep inside me began to stir. It was a shadow from many years ago, a weakness I had almost overcome.
But in an instant, I forced it back down with sheer willpower.
Things were different now. I had completely left that dark past behind. Natalie wouldn’t abandon me. She was my mate. We had a bond witnessed by the Moon Goddess.
I absolutely could not show her any trace of that pathetic side of me.
The pills would make me fall asleep quickly. They contained special components to boost a werewolf’s natural healing, but the side effect was intense drowsiness. I wanted to stay awake with Natalie a little longer, so I kept resisting. In the end, Natalie had to feed them to me, one by one,
Any pill she brought to my lips, no matter how much I didn’t want it, I would swallow.
There were seven pills in total. Natalie fed me several times. The last two were especially bitter. Since the water was gone, Natalie used her mouth to give them to me.
I savored the taste, holding her and kissing her for a long time afterward. Natalie finally had to gently bite my lip to make me stop.
Luckily, the medication took effect quickly. Even an Alpha werewolf like me, hardened by rigorous

“Natalie, you know when I was unconscious, I had a dream.” I said, my eyes closed, my voice as light as a
murmur.
Natalie was curled against me, not daring to move. “What dream?”
I said. “It was like… someone was at the window, praying to the Moon Goddess. She said if I would just wake up, she was willing to trade ten years of her own life for it.”
