Fake Mate Beta Rises to Alpha Heiress (Natalie and Landon) novel Chapter 322

Chapter 322 Couldn’t Take It Anymore

Sofia’s POV:

Finished

Watching Aaliyah lying there completely wasted on the couch, I felt both angry and heartbroken. It was true -women who bet everything on love never won.

That jerk Landon! And Natalie! If it weren’t for them, Aaliyah would never be in this state. She was a high- ranking Omega, always elegant and composed. I’d never seen her fall apart like this.

Aaliyah had been in the restroom for a long time. I was getting worried and was about to check on her.

Just then, her phone rang. It was an unknown number. Worried it might be something urgent from her family or even from Landon’s side, I answered for her.

A deep, pleasant male voice came through, with a hint of barely concealed urgency. “Where are you right now?”

“Hello, I’m a friend of Aaliyah’s. She’s unavailable at the moment. May I ask who’s calling?” I inquired.

There was a slight pause on the other end. “I’m her… boss.”

Boss? Oh, right. Aaliyah had mentioned she was working for Gallop Energy now and that the CEO thought highly of her. I quickly responded politely, “Hello, I’m sorry. But Aaliyah has had a bit too much to drink. She’ll probably have to call you back later.”

“Drinking? Is something wrong?” The tone on the phone sounded genuinely concerned, not like a routine check-in from a superior.

“Well…” I hesitated. I didn’t really know who this person was. But Aaliyah was finally out of that mess with Landon. If another strong, eligible werewolf was showing interest, it might not be a bad thing. Landon only acted so high and mighty because he was the Thorn Pack heir. If Aaliyah had an even more powerful protector…

“Would you mind sharing your address?” the man asked politely.

I quickly gave him the name of the bar.

About an hour later, there was a knock on the private booth door. I opened it and was immediately struck by the man standing there.

The bar lighting was dim, but he carried a composed, steady aura. He was tall and well-built, wearing a perfectly tailored dark suit, yet he lacked the slickness of some business Alphas. His looks were the kind of handsome that grew on you-deep-set eyes that held experience and a trace of wildness. It was a wildness rooted in the wilderness, belonging to a truly powerful werewolf, kept in check beneath a polished exterior. He seemed far more mature and reliable than Landon.

“I’m Cameron Parker, Aaliyah’s supervisor,” he introduced himself. His gaze had already moved past me to land on the unconscious Aaliyah, his brow furrowing slightly.

I quickly stepped aside to let him in, explaining that Aaliyah was upset and had drunk too much.

He walked over and sat on the couch beside her, calling her name softly. Aaliyah just mumbled

incoherently. Then, in her haze, she actually whispered “Landon,” reached out, and wrapped her arms around Cameron, begging him not to break their bond.

I was startled and moved to pull her away. This was her boss, after all. It was so inappropriate.

“It’s alright,” Cameron said calmly. He didn’t push her away immediately. Instead, he gently patted her back. The gesture… it didn’t feel like a boss comforting a subordinate. It felt more like a powerful protector soothing a distressed mate. And it worked. Aaliyah soon quieted down, as if she’d fallen asleep.

Then, carefully, he scooped her up into his arms, his movements steady and gentle.

“I’ll take her back now,” he said to me.

“Okay, of course.” I nodded, following them out.

Watching Cameron settle Aaliyah safely into the car, I gathered my courage and stepped closer. “Mr. Parker?”

“Yes?” He turned to me, his manner still polite and respectful.

My opinion of him rose even higher. This was the demeanor of a true leader-not flashy, but commanding respect and trust.

Aaliyah was my childhood best friend. I couldn’t bear to see her suffer like this.

Especially with the way Landon and Natalie had treated her. It was just too much.

Cameron was the head of Gallop Energy. His background and stature far surpassed Landon’s. And judging by how he’d just treated Aaliyah, I was pretty sure he was interested in her.

If he could protect Aaliyah, she could finally get some payback against Landon and Natalie!

Natalie’s POV:

I held out for nearly twenty-four hours.

By 10 p.m., Leonardo still wasn’t home.

I finally couldn’t take it anymore. I called Leonardo. The phone rang for a while. But no one answered.

I was usually calm, but at that moment, I couldn’t help but throw my phone across the room.

After calming down a bit, I called Aaron instead. The line was busy.

I gripped my phone tightly. Without another moment’s hesitation, I quickly got up, changed my clothes, grabbed my car keys, and headed out.

I went to the Sanchez Estate first. Dropping by so late was rude, but I was past caring.

The servant who answered the door was a Beta woman who recognized me. Fiona soon came out, a robe thrown over her pajamas. She looked surprised to see me.

I hadn’t called ahead because I knew she would be asleep at this hour.
