Fake Mate Beta Rises to Alpha Heiress (Natalie and Landon) novel Chapter 347

Chapter 347 Deserves Kindness

Louisa’s POV:

I had been waiting at the entrance to this residential complex for nearly two hours. Just as I was about to leave, I finally saw Natalie.

Yesterday, when I sent someone to check on Landon, they found him collapsed at home. When he was carried back, he was a mess-his pheromones were all over the place, and his vital signs were frighteningly weak. Only then did I learn that Landon had been drowning his sorrows in alcohol all these days, completely letting himself go.

And the reason for all this was Natalie. Someone told me Landon had actually apologized to her in public!

My mental resilience had strengthened quite a bit recently, but even so, I couldn’t contain my anger.

After all I had done for Natalie in the past, her revenge wasn’t just aimed at me-she seemed determined to ruin our entire family.

Even when Landon finally regained consciousness, the first name he called out was Natalie’s.

Seeing him in such a state, my heart ached for him, and my fury at Natalie burned. I got Natalie’s address from one of Landon’s people and found out this place was also bought for her by Landon! A wave of rage nearly clouded my judgment.

No matter what mistakes Landon made, his feelings for her were genuine! How could she trample all over them like this!

Grace was at the hospital with Benjamin, so I didn’t tell her about this. Some things had to be handled by me. I brought two of our family’s most reliable senior guards and came straight here.

But I never expected the security here to be so tight and utterly inflexible. Whether I presented myself as the matriarch of the Richardson family or raised my voice in reprimand, they simply refused to let me in to find her.

Left with no choice, I had to wait by the gate like a fool. Surely Natalie had to leave her home eventually?

And I finally caught her.

When others told me, I could hardly believe it. But seeing it with my own eyes now made me see red.

It was true! The rumors were all true! Natalie really did have a new man by her side now! That shameless woman had latched onto another guy so quickly! No wonder she was so cold and ruthless toward Landon!

“Natalie! Natalie!” I shouted, thumping my cane hard on the ground as I tried to push past the annoying security. My guards immediately stepped forward, shoving against the security guards.

“Please calm down!” The head security guard, Carmen Windham, blocked my path, his face showing strained patience and forced respect. “The residents here are distinguished. Unauthorized visitors are not permitted. I must ask you not to cause a disturbance.”

“Resident? What resident? She’s my grandson’s mate!” I spat, my voice shrill with fury. “Distinguished? This apartment was paid for by my grandson!”

“Then call the police…” I started to say, but before I could finish, Leonardo said calmly, “Then bring her over here.”

“Leonardo?” I was confused.

“I know what you’re worried about,” he said, his voice cool. A faint, almost sarcastic smile appeared on his lips. “But not every elderly person deserves kindness just for being old.”

He tightened his grip on my hand, lifted my arm to tuck into the bend of his elbow, and turned us to face the path ahead.

Leonardo said, “If she’s so desperate to see you, we might as well humor her.”

I knew Leonardo couldn’t stand the thought of me being slighted. If Louisa spoke offensively, he wouldn’t let it slide.

I had started a new life. My hatred for the Richardson family had almost faded away.

My wish was to cut all ties and have nothing more to do with them.

Besides, Louisa wasn’t in good health. I had always wanted to leave her with some dignity.

Seeing that I didn’t object, the guard immediately went to fetch her.
