It had been years since anyone had seen the account “Li” active.
So, when Li reappeared and posted a bounty to recruit programmers, it was quickly screenshotted.
Lillian had a clear objective when she logged on, and she acted fast, accomplishing what she needed to do with little effort.
Then she logged right off.
She never imagined that in such a short time, someone would have taken a screenshot.
Nathan’s messages came in like a tidal wave.
“You’ve gone viral! This has brought out all your old fans. You have to see this! So many people are talking about it, so many people want to meet you.”
After reading Nathan’s message, Lillian replied, “Don’t send me anything about Li. I’m Lillian now.”
She was starting over in this industry under her own name. Li was a part of her past accomplishments. If she hadn’t been so desperate for talent, she wouldn’t have even used that name again.
Nathan was ecstatic, but Lillian quickly dampened his excitement.
He sent another message: Got it. I know you want to keep a low profile. Let the Li thing blow over, you just keep doing your thing. I’m just expressing my excitement. You have no idea how heartbroken your fans have been all these years you’ve been silent.
Lillian smiled to herself as she washed her face. After calmly getting ready and eating breakfast, she headed to work as usual.
As she was leaving, Leonard handed her a bottle of milk, reminding her to drink it.
She had just taken it when Leonard’s face turned red again.
What was there to blush about?
She didn’t understand it, but she respected it.
Sebastian had been trying to find this Li for a long time. He had tried every possible way to track down this elusive, ghost-like master of the craft, but to no avail.
Now, overnight, the person had reappeared.
That morning, Sebastian even temporarily set aside his one-month deadline to bring Lillian back, frantically scouring the internet for any related news.
While having breakfast at the hotel, Bella’s eyes were also glued to her phone screen.
“Eat your food first, then you can look at your phone. It won’t be long,” Sabrina chided.
“Mom, you don’t understand. The Blake Group might be saved this time.
If I can find this Li, I can bypass Nathan and get the algorithm. Then, the company will no longer be at anyone’s mercy.”
“That sounds about right,” Sabrina said. “But, Bella, isn’t this person notoriously hard to find? Hasn’t Sebastian been looking for a long time?”
“That’s exactly why it’s so important now that there’s news. We have to find a way. Anyway, I can’t talk anymore. I’m done with breakfast, I’m heading to work.”
With that, Bella stood up to leave.
Just then, Martin walked over, carrying a thermos.
