By the time Lillian finished, Martin was seething with rage.

“Lillian, do you have any respect for me as your father? Is that any way to speak to your mom?”

Lillian couldn't even be bothered to look at him.

Seeing the situation devolve into a family feud, the remaining guests decided it was time to leave. It was one thing to watch a free show, but they didn't want to get dragged into the mess.

One by one, they made their excuses and departed.
