Family on Their Knees Heart Turned to Ice novel Chapter 373

It was just as she thought. Brandon didn't fully trust Sabrina and her daughter, which was why he wanted her to keep an eye on the party arrangements.

"Fine, I'll help supervise."

With that, Lillian chose a spot where she could see all the decorations being put up around the house and sat down.

She would occasionally take out her phone to reply to a message.

Bella looked up in her direction, a cold feeling in her heart. The place Lillian had chosen to sit and play supervisor was, coincidentally, the exact spot where they had argued and she had pushed the old woman down the stairs.

Lillian didn't seem to notice Bella staring at her, focused only on her phone.

Sabrina asked with a playful smile, "Have you all prepared your birthday gifts? The day after tomorrow, we'll present them in front of all the guests to add to your father's celebration. We can't have any slip-ups that would make us a laughingstock."

Brandon and Colin were a bit surprised. "We have to give the gifts in public? Can't we just give them tomorrow night during the private family dinner?"

Sabrina exchanged a look with Bella. "Of course we have to do it in public. That's what makes it grand.

What, haven't you two brothers prepared your gifts yet?"

Then, without looking at the brothers, she turned her gaze toward Lillian. "Lillian, have you prepared a gift for your father?"

Lillian glanced down at the main hall. "Of course. It'll certainly be something presentable."

"That's good!" Sabrina said.

Bella nodded. "Yes, that's the most important thing right now."

The next day's pre-birthday dinner went off without a hitch. Lillian did her best to keep a low profile, and with Sabrina and Bella stirring things up, the relatives' attention was mostly on them.

On Sunday, the main banquet finally arrived.

Since Sabrina wanted everyone to present their gifts publicly during the main event, Lillian suggested they do away with the formal birthday ceremony and just focus on the gift-giving.

She had no desire to kneel before her father to wish him a happy birthday ever again.

As his wife, Sabrina was the first to present her gift. It was an envelope containing a 3D ultrasound photo of their baby. The relatives and guests all offered their congratulations, some even praising Martin for still being so vigorous and potent. He basked in the joy.
