Fated To Three Betrayed By All Until She Rose (Leilani) by Ahvahh novel Chapter 233

233 I’ll kill him.

Leilani.

For about twenty seconds-and I know because I counted- none of us spoke or moved. We simply stood there, staring at each other as if we were in some kind of stare down challenge.

My heart raced din my chest as my eyes darted from Chalice’s to her accomplice’s, and in that moment, her eyes flashed with a kind of fear that I’ve only seen on her maybe once or twice before she managed to school fer expression into one of cold indifference; And as I glided my eyes from hers to his one more time, I tried so hard, and goddess don’t make me fail, to look confused yet irritated.

I spat; “Have you started following me around now?”

She frowned. “Huh?”

“So dying your hair silver isn’t enough for you anymore?” I continued; then to Louis, I spat; “And you! Wha the fuck are you even doing here?”

My intention was to sound like I hadn’t heard a thing about what they’d been talking about earlier, and it probably worked because then, relief crossed Chalice’s face as she hissed;

“You wish.”

However, Louis was a different case entirely. He looked at me with suspiciously thin eyes and watched my movements so closely as if waiting for me to pounce.

Despite his large size, he didn’t try to get too close and I sure as hell knew that the reason was because he could still remember how we’d met.

And maybe he doesn’t want a repeat of that experience- not like I minded.

“Ms Leilani,” he drawled coldly, bowing his head slightly. But I didn’t pay him any attention. My entire focus was solely on Chalice who dragged her eyes along my body from my head to my toes before snarling;

“Who knew that I would meet you here today”

“For real, who did?” I hissed back, mustering all the disdain I could into my voice. “I wish you knew and maybe you would’ve raised a flag in my name, seeing as you’re trying so hard to become me.”

My response made her freeze for a nanosecond, and in that instant, I saw the suspicion

creep into her eyes as she stared at me for a moment too long.

She asked; “What are you doing here?”

“Shopping for Gavin’s engagement party. You” I sassed nonchalantly as I raised my paper bag a little higher. And goddess, I almost smiled in her face when her eyes widened infinitesimally.

“Gavin’s getting engaged?”

Now, that was surprising.

“He didn’t tell you?” I responded; And bloody hell, I could barely hold in my laughter when her face fell even more.

Her expression answered the question even before she could and as tears seeped into her eyes, I had this irresistible urge to want to wipe them off- not out of goodwill but out of my increasing sheer wickedness.

I shrugged; “Maybe he doesn’t want to bear the baggage of being associated with you.”

Her jaws dropped even lower.

“Shut up!”

“Or maybe he’s realized that you’re just some crazy lunatic who should be locked up and allowed into the sun once every twentieth of December.”

“Leilani…”

“I wonder why you’re not locked up right now by the way, especially since more than half of the people in your pack want your head.”

“I am their Luna, Leilani. That’s something you’ll never understand in your miserable lif -” She began to say but I quickly waved her off and whispered under my breath; But I was loud enough that she could hear me.

I murmured; “…that’s because you’re pregnant with the Alphas’ pup… that’s if you’re really pregnant.”

The more I talked, the redder her face became until eventually she turned and stormed away, huffing and puffing under her breath and letting out the loudest longest string of profanities while Louis followed closely behind her.

And that was all that I needed.

For her to be so flustered she wouldn’t ask me too many questions.

For her to be so annoyed and have her ego so bruised that my real intentions would not be questioned.

It wasn’t until she was gone that I finally allowed myself to let out the breath I’d been holding and I turned away, smiling when I realized that my video had saved itself.

Good.

Chalice.

It wasn’t until Leilani had gotten into her car and driven off that I realized how stupid I had been for letting her off the hook so easily especially since there was a high chance that she’d overheard my conversation with Louis earlier.

I mean, if I wanted her dead, then that would have been the most perfect opportunity to kickstart my plans.

I could’ve easily asked Louis to hurt her right there and then. 2

But I hadn’t.

I had let her go too deep into my skin. Had let her simply toy with my mind with her sharp words; And now, I couldn’t help but feel stupid.

Goddess I was stupid! (1)

‘You are stupid… always stupid!’ My wolf bit back in my head, but ignoring her, I simply closed off the link between us and planted my hands on my hips, my eyes flashing as I glared right at Louis who for some reason hasn’t stopped looking in Leilani’s direction even now that her car was long gone. 1

I hissed; “focus!”

T

“I am focusing!” He clapped back, sounding almost irritated. Then in a voice that was obviously dripping with admiration, he added: “She sounds badass.”

“Who?” I snorted, already knowing who it was he was referring to and hating the way that thought made my heart squeeze painfully in my chest.

God, what does she have that I don’t?

And why does every man seem to like her more than they liked me?

I was snapped out of my momentary daze when Louis’ fingers brushed against my chin, and in a voice that was both smooth and velvety, he whispered;

“What do you plan to do to her?”

And hell, how I wanted to immediately jump into telling him about everything I had planned!

How I wanted to tell him about how I now intend to stage an accident that would take her life, but one that could easily cement my way into her life; but for some reason, I didn’t trust him anymore. Hell, the way he had looked at her earlier was too intimate…

too submissive…

Gosh, if he’s in love with her, I’ll kill him.

“Do you still want me to kill her?”

“No.” I hissed, “I don’t. I want you to stage my accident.”

He froze. “Yours or hers?”

“Mine. I want you to kill me.” 4
