Mr. Kress was staring at his phone, ready to blow his top.

For two days straight, he gave Clarice the cold shoulder on set. Clarice was pretty ticked off, so she went to vent to Gwen.

"Because of that 300k, Mr. Kress has his mind made up about me. What should I do?"

Clarice purposely told Gwen, wanting to know why Mr. Kress seemed to specifically target her.

Gwen thought she had a good handle on Estelle, so she gave some advice, but Estelle's reaction caught her off guard. She sipped her water, leisurely chuckling, "If Mr. Kress comes after you again, tell him that 300k wasn't a freebie!"

Clarice thought for a moment, "Estelle seems like a tough cookie."

Gwen smirked, "Even the toughest cookies can be cracked!"

Mr. Kress didn't show any signs of frustration in front of Estelle, he showered her with flowers on a daily basis. One day he would send roses, and the next day he would pick lilies.

The young actresses on set were green with envy.

After all, Mr. Kress was a good-looking guy with some power on set, and he seemed very persistent.

Craig saw another huge bunch of pink roses outside Estelle's door and burst out laughing.

Estelle kept calm and carried on with her work, turning a blind eye, "Just ignore it!"

Craig scoffed, "It's sickening!"

Clarice was just an actress, the lowest rank in the crowd. She didn't know the others well, but seeing Jonathan waiting for her to speak, she sat up straight and said with a smile, "One of our deputy directors has a crush on the costume designer. He's been wooing her with gifts and flowers every day, very passionately."

The woman who had asked the question said, "What's so strange about that? If a woman is beautiful, naturally men will pursue her."

Clarice said with a hint of annoyance, "The thing is, this girl doesn't fancy our deputy director, yet she lets him chase after her like a lovesick puppy, accepting his gifts and flowers, but never agreeing to date him. She even let him spend 300k just to maintain her image."

The woman said in surprise, "That's a bit much!"

Another person said, "Girls these days are so vain, relying on their looks and spending men's money without a care!"

"It's a choice on both sides, both are to blame!"
